The Pearl Theatre Company has announced casting for the world premiere of And Away We Go, a new play written expressly for The Pearl by four-time Tony Award-winner Terrence McNally. New plays bookend The Pearl's first season at its new home on 42nd Street, which just began with the premiere of Charles Morey's critically acclaimed Figaro.

Primary Stages last night held their annual Gala on Wednesday at The Edison Ballroom (240 W. 47th Street). The event, which honored Tony Award winner Tyne Daly (Master Class, Rabbit Hole, Gypsy), and producers and Primary Stages Board members Jamie deRoy and Ted Snowdon, featured performances by Tony Award nominee Tom Wopat (Sondheim on Sondheim, A Catered Affair), actor/director/producer Tamara Tunie ("Law & Order: SVU," "As The World Turns"), Lewis Cleale (The Book of Mormon, Spamalot, Call Me Madam), and Garrett Sorenson (Master Class). Palm Beach Dramaworks, which mounted its first productions of works by Edward Albee in 2002, renews its exploration of his remarkable career with two important presentations. A Delicate Balance, the first of his three Pulitzer Prize-winning plays, opens on December 7 and runs through January 6. Following that on January 8 will be the Southeastern premiere of The Stages of Edward Albee, the acclaimed new documentary that examines the playwright's life and work, with three showings (2PM, 5PM and 8PM). All events are at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre (201 Clematis Street).

Based on the hit DreamWorks film and the incredible true story that inspired it, the first national tour of the high-flying Broadway musical Catch Me If You Can will make a stop at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center for a limited engagement December 18-23.

Manhattan Theatre Club announces that Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham will join the cast of GOLDEN AGE, the new play by four-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie. GOLDEN AGE will begin previews Thursday, November 15 and open Tuesday, December 4 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Feinstein's (540 Park Avenue, 61 Street) has announced the swift return to New York of London's fast- rising West End and cabaret singer Joanna Strand, in "Fly Transatlantic". This is her beautifully crafted musical journey through songs with roots both sides of the Atlantic. The performance is Wednesday 5 December at 10.30p.m.

Due to Hurricane Sandy, Manhattan Theatre Club's production of GOLDEN AGE will begin previews Thursday, November 15 at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street), two days later than initially announced. Opening night for the New York premiere remains Tuesday, December 4.

Angela Lansbury, whose career has spanned close to seven decades in film and theatre, is currently gearing up for an Australian tour of DRIVING MISS DAISY opposite James Earl Jones. The tour, which launches in February, will wrap up in June 2013 - but don't expect Lansbury to take too much down time. She tells the Sydney Morning Herald that she'll be back to performing next fall in New York, in a new production of Enid Bagnold's THE CHALK GARDEN.
