Hazel - the saucy maid whose wry attitude, infallible wisdom and heart of gold has captured the hearts of millions for more than 60 years - will be in the spotlight again in an exciting new Broadway musical with music by composer Ron Abel and lyrics by Chuck Steffan. The veteran duo has acquired the rights to Hazel from the estate of creator Ted Key and are hoping to bring the show to the Great White Way in 2011.

Chris Isaacson in association with UPRIGHT CABARET announced the world premiere of Jennifer Leigh Warren starring in 'LITTLE WOMAN/BIG VOICE: The Songs of Dame Shirley Bassey,' which will make its Los Angeles debut in Spring 2011. Acclaimed Director Richard Jay-Alexander (Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler 'Kiss My Brass' Tour, Bernadette Peters) is at the helm.

When Pop Icon Michael Jackson put his stamp of approval on Larry Hart's award winning, critically acclaimed musical, 'Sisterella', he probably would have never imagined his young nephew TJ Jackson would one day grow up to star in the role that was originally developed for him. When TJ Jackson steps into the role of Prince Jean Luc, he will be fulfilling part of his famous uncle's Legacy to American theater. Sisterella, was originally developed by it's author Larry Hart at MJJ Music, with Jackson in mind to play the Prince. 'We were going through Sisterella archives a few weeks ago and found those original Costume sketches for Michael' Hart said, 'it was a surreal, bittersweet moment. Michael loved Sisterella, and at the time was looking for a creative role in Theater.

The California Alliance for Arts Education and the Music Center: Performing Arts Center of Los Angeles County presented 'Education, Creativity and California's Future' at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion Wednesday September 29th. The forum featured celebrities including Jack Black, Ben McKenzie and others discussing arts education and asking questions of the two candidates for State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Assemblymember Tom Torlakson and Larry Aceves. The goal of the forum was to discuss the plight and promise of arts education in California public schools.
