???????The Bush Theatre reopens this week following the biggest capital project in the theatre's history. The £4.3million, year-long revitalisation of the venue by award-winning architects Haworth Tompkins has turned an old library built at the turn of the 20th Century into a fully accessible, modernised cultural building. 

Guards at the Taj is the 2016 Lucille Lortel Award Winner for Outstanding Play, and the 2016 Obie Award Winner for Best New American Play. Capital Stage Co-Founder and Associate Artist, Jonathan Williams, returns to direct this critically acclaimed two person play for its Sacramento Premiere. Guards at the Taj will feature two actors new to the Sacramento theatre scene.

The red carpet was rolled and the spotlight was on. The 12th edition of the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards Festival (META) concluded with an awards night on March 10, at the ritzy, Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi.

The nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center and AEG Presents announced today that tickets for Taj Mahal/Keb' Mo' will go on sale Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. Grammy award-winning American blues musician, Taj Mahal and three-time Grammy winner and visionary roots-music storyteller, Keb' Mo' will perform for one night only at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Strauss Square in the downtown Dallas Arts District. 

The 16th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today announced its lineup of 57 thought-provoking and diverse short films in competition, including 36 world premieres. The selected shorts, 40% of which were directed by women, and include filmmakers from every corner of the globe, were curated from a record 4,385 submissions. They will be presented in 10 distinct competition programs, consisting of five narrative, four documentary, and, for the second year, one animated program. In addition, there is the Sports Shorts program as part of the 11th annual Tribeca/ESPN Sports Film Festival, sponsored by Mohegan Sun. The Shorts program, sponsored by Nutella Originals, is a part of the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival, which runs April 19-30.

Casting has been announced today for the European premiere of Guards at the Taj, written by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph and directed by Jamie Lloyd. Danny Ashok (Disgraced, Bush Theatre; Capital, BBC) will play Humayun and Darren Kuppan (East is East, West End/ UK Tour) will play Babur. 

Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Joan Osborne returns to Cafe Carlyle, February 28 - March 11.

Singer, songwriter, drummer, percussionist and founder of Newban (later changing its name to Atlantic Starr), the Rhythm and Blues hit machine from the '70s and '80s, Porter Carroll, Jr. with Wali Ali & The Tambourine Band are bringing 'The Evolution of Cabaret' to The Metropolitan Room on February 25, 2017 at 9:30 PM.
