Joining the cast of the European premiere of Kill Climate Deniers are Home and Away's Kelly Paterniti as Bekken, the critically acclaimed stand-up Bec Hill as Catch and Coronation Street's Hannah Ellis Ryan. Exploring in parallel a hostage situation as it teeters on the brink of calamity and what happened when writer David Finnigan first tried to stage this play, the production blends fact and fiction as Nathan Coenen stars as Finig (The Sleepover Club; Teen Wolf).

Sylvester Stallone to Direct, Executive Produce THE TENDERLOIN at History

HISTORY is teaming with Sylvester Stallone to develop the drama series 'The Tenderloin' (working title) from A+E Studios in association with Balboa Productions, it was announced today at A+E Networks' Upfront. Stallone will executive produce and direct multiple episodes. Stephen Kay ('Sons of Anarchy,' 'The Shield') is set to write the pilot.

SHOWTIME has announced that Oscar and Golden Globe® nominee Adriana Barraza (Babel) has joinedPENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS, the next chapter of the PENNY DREADFUL saga, in the role of Maria Vega. Maria is the powerful matriarch of the Vega family, who will go to any lengths to protect her children from the dangerous world of 1938 social politics, as well as from the chilling supernatural forces invading their lives. The series also stars Natalie Dormer, Daniel Zovatto, Jessica Garza, Johnathan Nieves and Tony® and Emmy® winner Nathan Lane. Tony and Golden Globe award winner and three-time Oscar nominee John Logan, the creator, writer and executive producer of the Emmy nominated series PENNY DREADFUL, continues in those same roles. Michael Aguilar (KIDDING) also serves as executive producer. Production on the drama series is expected to begin later this year.

Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures (MGM) announced today acclaimed stage director Liesl Tommy, the first black woman to earn a Tony Award nomination for Best Direction of a Play, is set to direct Respect, a feature film based on the life of music icon Aretha Franklin. As previously announced, Academy Award, Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild, BAFTA and Grammy Award winner Jennifer Hudson was personally handpicked by Ms. Franklin to portray her on the big screen.  Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Callie Khouri (Thelma & Louise, creator of Nashville) will pen the screenplay following the rise of Ms. Franklin's career, from a child singing in her father's church's choir to an iconic and international superstar. The announcement was made today by Jonathan Glickman, President, Motion Picture Group.
