The box office for the world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Breakfast at Tiffany's, officially opens for business at the Cort Theatre (138 W 48th Street) at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013. Directed by Sean Mathias, Breakfast at Tiffany's begins preview performances on Monday, March 4, 2013 and officially opens on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. This stage adaption of Truman Capote's classic novella will star Emilia Clarke (HBO's "Game of Thrones") in the iconic role of 'Holly Golightly,' Cory Michael Smith as 'Fred,' and George Wendt as 'Joe Bell.'

Good news for the day! A statement from the production has just revealed that 'Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's is ON. The producers have successfully secured funding for the Broadway production and rehearsals will continue in preparation for first preview on March 4. Audiences will indeed get to fall in love with Capote's most iconic character, Holly Golightly, live and in person this Spring.'

According to the New York Times, the producers of the upcoming world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's, are trying to raise funds for the show after an investor dropped out last minute. The cast, currently in rehearsals, was told that the production would be 'in jeopardy' if the necesary $1 million is not quickly raised.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) will begin previews on Monday, August 6 for The Mobile Shakespeare Unit's RICHARD III, directed by Amanda Dehnert. Following a three-week tour, bringing free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts, RICHARD III will run at The Public Theater through Saturday, August 25, with an official press opening on Saturday, August 11. Manhattan Theatre Club has announced that WIT, the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Margaret Edson, directed by Lynne Meadow will extend at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. The limited engagement must close after the evening performance on Saturday, March 17.

Tonight, March 14, WIT director Lynne Meadow and Tony and Emmy Award winner Cynthia Nixon will appear on "The Charlie Rose Show." Meadow and Nixon will speak with Rose about the production currently playing at Manhattan Theatre Club's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) through Saturday evening, March 17 only.
