BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S Box Office Opens Monday

The box office for the world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Breakfast at Tiffany's, officially opens for business at the Cort Theatre (138 W 48th Street) at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013. Directed by Sean Mathias, Breakfast at Tiffany's begins preview performances on Monday, March 4, 2013 and officially opens on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. This stage adaption of Truman Capote's classic novella will star Emilia Clarke (HBO's "Game of Thrones") in the iconic role of 'Holly Golightly,' Cory Michael Smith as 'Fred,' and George Wendt as 'Joe Bell.'

The world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Breakfast at Tiffany's, will hold a casting call to find the perfect cat to take on the iconic role of "Cat." Felines with Broadway dreams are encouraged to submit a photo and owner contact information to kittygolightly@oandmco.com. A casting session will be held during the week of February 11, 2013 to groom the candidates for Broadway stardom.

Good news for the day! A statement from the production has just revealed that 'Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's is ON. The producers have successfully secured funding for the Broadway production and rehearsals will continue in preparation for first preview on March 4. Audiences will indeed get to fall in love with Capote's most iconic character, Holly Golightly, live and in person this Spring.'

According to the New York Times, the producers of the upcoming world premiere of Tony Award winning playwright Richard Greenberg's new play, Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's, are trying to raise funds for the show after an investor dropped out last minute. The cast, currently in rehearsals, was told that the production would be 'in jeopardy' if the necesary $1 million is not quickly raised.

Before a frustrated New York City Parks Commissioner Robert Moses grumbled, 'Well, let's build the bastard a theater,' and designated city funds to build the Delacorte, Joseph Papp's dream of bringing free Shakespeare to everyone was being achieved by mobile units of actors that toured the city in small scale productions.  Now in its second year, The Public Theater's Mobile Shakespeare Unit has been recreating that experience for audiences that free Shakespeare In The Park cannot reach.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) will begin previews on Monday, August 6 for The Mobile Shakespeare Unit's RICHARD III, directed by Amanda Dehnert. Following a three-week tour, bringing free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts, RICHARD III will run at The Public Theater through Saturday, August 25, with an official press opening on Saturday, August 11. Tickets are $15 and on sale now.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) will take its MOBILE SHAKESPEARE UNIT on tour again this July with a production of RICHARD III, directed by Amanda Dehnert. The three-week tour, July 16 to August 3, will bring free Shakespeare to audiences who have limited or no access to the arts before a sit-down run at The Public Theater, August 6-25.
