RED Production Company called 'action' as filming commenced in Manchester on original new television drama, SAFE. The 8 x 60' series has been ordered by CANAL+ Group and Netflix and will run on free-to-air channel C8 (CANAL+ Group) in France and Netflix globally outside of France in 2018.

At a reception during the 2017 Sundance Film Festival today, the beneficiaries of $60,000 in grants from Sundance Institute and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation were revealed. Doron Weber, the Vice President of Programs at the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, announced the winners: Michael Almereyda's Marjorie Prime won the Feature Film Prize; Adam Benic's Levittown (Sundance Institute | Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Episodic Storytelling Grant); Darcy Brislin and Dyana Winkler's Bell (Sundance Institute | Sloan Lab Fellowship); and Jamie Dawson and Howard Gertler's Untitled Smallpox Eradication Project (Sundance Institute | Sloan Commissioning Grant).

Aardman and Studiocanal will reunite for a sequel to the 2015 animated hit comedy SHAUN THE SHEEP. Richard Starzak who collaborated on the first film will helm the project with pre-production set to begin in January.
Park Theatre Announces Casting for SAVING JASON

Casting has been announced for Park Theatre's new dark comedy Saving Jason, created by the two-time Olivier Award nominated writer of the West End/Broadway hits Glorious! and End of the Rainbow, Peter Quilter. Directed by Steven Dexter, the cast includes Jacques Miche, Tor Clark, Cory Peterson, William Oxborrow, Julie Armstrong and Paddy Navin. Saving Jason will play at Park90, from 2 November until 3 December 2016, with a press night on Monday 7 November, 7pm.
