The Drama League Winter/Spring 2014 Programming Schedule recently presented its 'Up Close: A Conversation with…' Series with Broadway composer, Jason Robert Brown at the Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas) in Tribeca, on Monday, March 10, 2014 followed by a reception. A team of nearly 100 stars from Broadway, film, television, and music will cast, write, compose, direct, rehearse, tech, and perform four original musicals - all in the obscenely short time between an evening meet-and-greet on Sunday, April 6 and show time on Monday, April 7 at 8pm. The 24 Hour Company ® is teaming with the Exchange, an off-Broadway theater company, to create the sixth-ever 24 Hour Musicals. The event benefits the Exchange's summer retreat, The Orchard Project, which kick-starts innovative new theatrical work from around the world.

From the magical romances of ALADDIN and THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY to the perils of showbiz in CABARET, BULLETS OVER BROADWAY and ACT ONE; from the gripping physicality of ROCKY to the revolutionary tune of LES MISERABLES and the friendship and loss of OF MICE AND MEN, this season runs the gamut when it comes to captivating tales. Screen Actors Guild Foundation and Broadway World have partnered for an inaugural filmed Conversations Q&A series to recognize and celebrate the vibrant theatre community in New York City and the union actors who aspire to have a career on the stage and screen. An upcoming installment will feature Kelli O'Hara and Steven Pasquale - currently starring on Broadway in The Bridges of Madison County - and moderated by Broadway World's Richard Ridge of 'Backstage with Richard Ridge!' on March 20 (3:15PM). The event will take place at The John L. Tishman Auditorium at the University Center 63 Fifth Avenue (between 13th & 14th Street).

The moving and heart-wrenching musical FAR FROM HEAVEN is now available for Professional Theatrical licensing from R&H Theatricals, and its score will be published by Imagem Music, each a division of the Imagem Music Group. Based on Todd Haynes' multi award-winning 2002 film starring Julianne Moore, the musical features music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens), lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens), and a book by Tony winner Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out).

Four-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara reunites with Bartlett Sher, the Tony- winning director of South Pacific and The Light in the Piazza, for a stunning new musical by the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning team of Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown.
