Lincoln Center Theater's Tony Award-nominated production of ACT ONE, written and directed by James Lapine from the autobiography by Moss Hart, will be filmed for Live from Lincoln Center for an anticipated broadcast on PBS at a future date, it has just been announced. ACT ONE which is up for 5 Tony Awards this Sunday, including Best Play, runs through June 15 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. (more...)

Pianist Shai Wosner will perform a Franz Schubert-themed recital program at SubCulture NYC tonight, September 17 at 7:30 p.m. - the first recital in SubCulture's new piano series, with 14 performances over 15 days, featuring prominent jazz, classical, and rock pianists. Tickets to the recital are priced at $25 and available on the SubCulture website. Mr. Wosner, noted as a pianist at the 'front rank of the Schubertians' by BBC Music Magazine, will play Schubert's Klavierstuck in E-flat minor, D. 946, No. 1, Jorg Widmann's Idyll and Abyss (Six Schubert Reminiscences), and Schubert's final Sonata in B-flat major, D. 960.
