ROCKY's First Performance Tonight Canceled; Previews to Begin Feb. 13

The first preview of the new Broadway musical ROCKY (presented by Stage Entertainment USA and Sylvester Stallone), set for tonight, February 11, has been canceled; it was announced this morning. ROCKY will now begin previews on Thursday, February13, with no performance originally scheduled for tomorrow.

ROCKY begins previews tonight, February 11, and officially opens on March 13 at Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway, New York, NY).

Broadway's ROCKY Announces Lottery Policy

ROCKY, beginning previews February 11 and officially opening on March 13, announces a day-of-performance lottery for Golden Circle seats in the first two rows of Broadway's historic Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway, New York, NY). Golden Circle ticketholders will be escorted onto the stage to watch the climatic fight during the final 20 minutes of the performance. Entry to the lottery will begin two hours prior to each performance and the winners will be announced 90 minutes prior to curtain. The seats will be priced at the special rate of $35 each, limit two tickets per person. All tickets are subject to availability. For further information, visit www.rockybroadway.com.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker have announced that What's It All About? Bacharach Reimagined will extend two additional weeks through Sunday, February 16, 2014 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. The musical had originally been scheduled to run through January 5 and then, following rave reviews and strong box office, received a four-week extension through February 2.

ONCE Releases 400,000 New Tickets for Sale

Later this week, on Friday 24 January 2014, over 400,000 new tickets will be released for sale for the hit West End musical Once, taking bookings at the Phoenix Theatre to 4 July 2015. The eight time Tony award-winning musical, directed by John Tiffany, opened at the Phoenix Theatre in April last year where it has been acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.
