Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents GHOST LIGHT: SONGS AND CREEPY STORIES FROM BROADWAY AND BEYOND TO GET YOU IN THE HALLOWEEN SPIRIT, starring Daisy Eagan (Tony Award winner, The Secret Garden), Christina Sajous (SpiderMan: Turn Off The Dark, Baby It's You), Doreen Montalvo (On Your Feet!, In The Heights), Brian Losoya (Lindsay Mendez & Ryan Scott Oliver's 'Actor Therapy'), and more.

 Minda Larsen eeked out a MetroStar win last night, finishing on top of a strong and tightly matched Top Five line-up in a spellbinding contest finale at the Metropolitan Room.  To win the 8th annual MetroStar Talent Challenge Larsen captivated the judges with her confessional and inspirational story of having competed in the contest three other times (unsuccessfully) and dramatically changing her attitude about her work this time around.  The attitude adjustment succeeded as Larsen soared in the finale, beating out the delightful everyman Thomas Dieter (1st runner-up) and gloriously-voiced Josephine Sanges (2nd runner up). The two other Top 5 finalists were Lisa Remick and April Leonhard.

 In nail-bitingly close voting Monday night, the MetroStar Talent Challenge bid farewell to two audience favorites in a hotly contested semi-final round.  Let go by the jury were the contest's popular 9th grader Josephine Bianco and the veteran piano bar performer Sheree Sano.

The 2015 'MetroStar Talent Challenge' is extending its deadline for applications to July 4 and adding new mentoring to help competitors up their games during the 7-week contest. The eighth annual edition of the summer tradition runs for seven consecutive Mondays, from July 6 through August 17.  All contestants must certify that they will be available to compete throughout the jury-and audience-voted, elimination-round competition.

Last night Julie Budd gave her first performance as  the latest Artist In Residence at The Metropolitan Room and broadwayworld was there.  While enjoying a multi-faceted musical career, Julie's credits range from television to film, the New York stage, and symphonies all over the country, along with the most lavish casinos and showrooms everywhere.  She began her professional career at the tender age of twelve, after meeting record producer/orchestrator Herb Bernstein. He immediately took Julie under his wing and introduced her to Merv Griffin at a recording session in New York City. After hearing Julie sing, she was invited to appear on more than 100 of Merv's Shows.  

Just coming off of her Tony-winning performance in Broadway's HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, Lena Hall made her Cafe Carlyle debut last night, April 7. The show continues through April 18. Check out a first look at the show below!

The Jewish Channel will broadcast the latest edition of its popular theater­oriented monthly TV show, "Row J," to begin airing on demand on Tuesday, February 10. Row J" is hosted by TJC correspondent Meredith Ganzman. The executive producer is Brian Scott Lipton.

The Independent Presenters Network presents the 2014 national tour of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT. Directed and choreographed by Tony® Award-winner Andy Blankenbuehler, the new tour launched at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH, on March 4, 2014, and is currently playing at Chicago's Cadillac Palace Theatre.
