The Theatre UCF 2013-14 season focuses on fun and collaboration while delivering shows that are relevant to the community and the university's theatre students.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, will present a new production of Bertolt Brecht's The Caucasian Chalk Circle featuring Christopher Lloyd (Azdak), directed by Brian Kulick (who directed Brecht's Galileo last season), and featuring new music by Tony Award-winning singer/songwriter Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening). The Caucasian Chalk Circle will begin performances tonight, May 3 at CSC (136 East 13th Street) for a limited engagement through Sunday, June 9. The official opening is Thursday, May 30.

Austin's Last Act Theater Company continues their 2012-2013 Season with THE HAPPY COUPLE by Texan playwright James Venhaus. James Venhaus recently answered some of BroadwayWorld's questions about his daring play.

Big Noise Theatre Company closes their 2012-13 season with DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, directed and choreographed by Zachary L. Gray, with musical direction by Robert Deason. Performances will be held at the Prairie Lakes Theatre from tonight, April 26-May 12, 2013. Marsha Rutenberg and Daiva Paulis co-produce, and Alex McCrary is the associate director.

Music Theatre International (MTI) has announced that Leap of Faith by award-winning composer Alan Menken (Disney's Beauty and The Beast and Little Shop of Horrors), is now available for licensing. The Leap of Faith score is inspired by the sounds of gospel, country, and American roots music. The creative team also includes book writers Janus Cercone and Tony winner Warren Leight (Side Man) and Grammy winning lyricist Glenn Slater (Tangled).

On three Monday evenings - May 13, May 20 and June 3 - different actors and directors will explore the text of Romeo & Juliet, giving theater-goers the opportunity to become part of the discovery process, and experience different acting approaches and directorial interpretations of one of Shakespeare's most cherished plays. After spray-tanning away their Chicago winter complexions, the cast of NPR's "Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me!" is ready for its close-up with comedy's "Wild and Crazy Guy." The public radio sensation announced today that comedian Steve Martin and musical guest Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings will join host Peter Sagal and official judge and scorekeeper Carl Kasell on Thursday, May 2 in the show's big screen debut of "Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me! - Live."

According to The New York Times, Vassar's Powerhouse Theater will showcase an impressive lineup for its 2013 season, running June 21 to July 28. A new musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, and two others by writers Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman, and Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, will take the stage for Vassar College and New York Stage and Film.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's quirky and tender comedy Be a Good Little Widow. Directed by Hal Brooks, Be a Good Little Widow will run May 11 - June 9, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.
