Dan Castellaneta & More Set for A CHRISTMAS CAROL: TWIST YOUR DICKENS! at Kirk Douglas Theatre; Full Cast Announced!

The Second City scoured their address book to assemble a cast of seven luminary L.A.-based alumni for their hilarious take on the beloved Charles Dickens tale of hope and redemption. The world premiere of The Second City's "A Christmas Carol: Twist Your Dickens!" is written by Second City alums, Peter Gwinn (formerly of "The Colbert Report") and Bobby Mort (currently of "The Colbert Report"), and opens November 29, 2012, at Center Theatre Group's Kirk Douglas Theatre. Previews begin November 24 and performances will run through December 30.

The "coming-of-age" romance HOPE SPRINGS (Columbia Pictures, Mandate Pictures), arrives on Blu-ray™ and DVD with UltraViolet™ December 4th from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film stars three-time Academy Award® winner Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady, Best Actress, 2012; Sophie's Choice, Best Actress, 1983; Kramer vs. Kramer, Best Actress in a Supporting Role, 1980), Academy Award® winner Tommy Lee Jones (The Fugitive, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, 1993) and Golden Globe® winner Steve Carell ("The Office,"Best Performance by an Actor, TV Comedy Series, 2006). It was directed by David Frankel (The Devil Wears Prada) and written by Vanessa Taylor (TV's "Game of Thrones").

TV Guide Network today announced the U.S. premiere of the second season of 'Rove LA' airing tonight, October 6 at midnight ET/PT. 'Rove LA' is a weekly, one-hour comedy talk show hosted by Australia's King of Talk, Rove McManus, who has been interviewing Hollywood's biggest stars for over 10 years running. Actor Russell Brand, 'American Idol' finalist Adam Lambert and actress Kristen Schaal will be Rove's first guests on his 2012 season.

Warner Bros. to Release Restored 3D Edition of THE WIZARD OF OZ

Warner Bros. announced today that the 1939 classic The Wizard of Oz will be fully restored and converted into 3D, as a part of the studio's 90th Anniversary celebration next year. The film is currently being restored and will be released on Blu-ray 3D in either September or October of next year.

The Marcus Center has announced that Chicago's legendary comedy theatre The Second City will appear at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts-Vogel Hall at 123 East State St on December 6-16. The Second City's Dysfunctional Holiday Revue delivers a healthy dose of seasonal satire where neither holiday film classics, family gatherings nor Christmas carols are too sacred for a show that is the perfect alternative to the same old holiday shows.

Sam Mendes' film about a family man's resplendent mid-life crisis premiered in Toronto in 1999 and went on to win five Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Screenplay.
