INTO THE WOODS Movie Now Largest Opening Weekend for a Broadway Musical Film!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, INTO THE WOODS will come in at $46.1 plus million for the 4 day weekend. This puts it in third for the weekend box office, behind THE HOBBIT at $54.5 million and UNBROKEN at $47.3 million.

This just in from Variety! INTO THE WOODS opened strong with midnight showings last night of $1.1 million dollars. By comparison, ANNIE opened with $360,000 last week. According to the paper, 'Box office trackers expect INTO THE WOODS to finish the four-day Christmas weekend with $26 million to $29 million domestically.'
