Edie Falco Hosts Concert for OVER THE MOON: THE BROADWAY LULLABY PROJECT Release, 5/7

A free concert celebrating the release of Over The Moon: The Broadway Lullaby Project, a multi-media charity project that includes a two-CD set of original lullabies composed and sung by Broadway's brightest stars, a lavishly-illustrated hardcover book of 17 songs from the album, a corresponding e-book encompassing the entire collection, and a documentary film. The project gathers many of contemporary theater's greatest composers and vocalists, as well as award-winning illustrators and set designers, all of whom donated their talent to this endeavor.

Last night's performance of The Broadway Ballyhoo at Feinstein's (Park & 61st Street) marked the fifth month of this critically acclaimed and popular musical revue series. SILENCE! The Musical, currently nominated for two Lucille Lortel Awards including Best Musical, will celebrate its 200th performance tonight, April 6th at The 9th Space Theatre at Performance Space 122, 150 First Avenue (at 9th St.) SILENCE! The Musical is the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli. After opening on July 9, 2011 the show immediately became a sold-out phenomenon and was selected by Time Magazine as one of the year's Top 5 Musicals. Due to overwhelming ticket demand, the producers recently put a new block of seats on sale through September 2nd.

StoryBook Theater’s A LITTLE MERMAID Plays Puget Sound Theatres, 4/28-5/20

April showers don't bother StoryBook Theater's A Little Mermaid. She is used to being wet--but she dreams of dancing on dry land. Walking and talking aren't easy for a little mermaid and she is determined to trade in her tail for legs. In this original StoryBook Theater version of Hans Christian Andersen's classic, the audience will decide whether the Little Mermaid should keep her legs or high-tail it back to the sea. A Little Mermaid will visit Renton , Kirkland and Seattle from April 28 through May 20 for a total of 19 performances.

Broadway League Awards Education Grants to WIT & WICKED

The Broadway League has awarded coveted New York Education Grants to the Broadway productions of Wit by Margaret Edson, and Wicked by Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holzman. Each production receives a $5,000 grant towards its 2012 educational initiatives. The grants are important to the growth and development of theatre education in the city as they encourage theatres to create more opportunities for young people and to exchange ideas about education.

Denver Center Attractions announces a day-of-performance lottery for WICKED. Each day, 2½ hours prior to each performance, patrons at The Buell Theatre box office will enter their names into a lottery drum. Thirty minutes later, names will be drawn for a limited number of orchestra seats at $25 each, cash only.
