CBS today announced premiere dates for its lineup of original summer programing that includes the new drama ZOO, returning event series UNDER THE DOME and EXTANT, and the summer reality hit BIG BROTHER.

The Alliance Theatre is pleased to present the world premiere production, EDWARD FOOTE, by award-winning Atlanta playwright and author Phillip DePoy. EDWARD FOOTE, a Gothic murder mystery set to haunting Appalachian folk song, will premiere on the Hertz Stage March 27 - April 19, 2015. Opening night is April 1, 2015.

Minnesota Opera presents five operas in its 2015-2016 season, which includes the highly anticipated world-premiere thriller, The Shining, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paul Moravec. Other season highlights include Puccini's Tosca, an encore of Mozart's The Magic Flute, Dvo?ák's Rusalka and the first Minnesota Opera production of Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos in three decades.

?OPERA America is pleased to announce it has awarded grants to 11 opera companies through its Opera Fund: Audience Development grant program, which promotes deep learning experiences about new or infrequently produced American operas and music-theater works. Each grant supports audience development activities associated with a specific work being produced by an OPERA America Professional Company Member.

NEW YORK, NY—February 17, 2015—Scholastic, the global children's publishing, education and media company, has acquired North American rights to 19-year-old Aija Mayrock's self-published ebook, The Survival Guide to Bullying. The revised Scholastic edition (The Survival Guide to Bullying: Revised Edition) will be published simultaneously in paperback and ebook formats in July 2015, with a hardcover library edition to follow in September 2015. The deal was negotiated by Debra Dorfman, VP and Publisher, Scholastic, and Jay Kramer for Aija Mayrock.

According to the Daily Mail, THRILLER LIVE's Gary Lloyd is set to helm Dean Pitchford, Michael Gore and Lawrence D. Cohen's revised version of CARRIE THE MUSICAL for Southwark Playhouse this summer. The show will begin May 1 for a four-week run. The team is planning on holding open auditions for the lead role.

According to Deadline, James Franco has signed on to lead Hulu's 11/22/63, a new Original series from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions (Person of Interest, Fringe, Lost), acclaimed author Stephen King, executive producer/writer Bridget Carpenter(The Red Road, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights) and Warner Bros. Television. The announcement was made today by Craig Erwich, Senior Vice President and Head of Content, Hulu.

Deadline writes that The CW has ordered its first pilots for the season. Among them is a new version of the '80s horror/fantasy series TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE, originally created by George A. Romero, alongside CORDON, a drama from THE VAMPIRE DIARIES' Julie Plec and director David Nutter.

The book is billed as an 'Ivy Meadows Mystery' - the first of a series. Ivy is something akin to a modern day Nancy Drew - an eager young actress turned sleuth in modern-day Phoenix, Arizona.

This taut and suspenseful thriller is the highly anticipated second opera by composer Kevin Puts and librettist Mark Campbell, creators of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Silent Night.
