The Alden in McLean kicks off its next season of national and international touring artists. Professional artists from the worlds of comedy, dance, theatre, music, jugging, children's theatre and more will visit the 383-seat performing arts venue located inside the Beltway and minutes from downtown DC.

Batman and The Transfer Group have announced that CARRIE THE MUSICAL will return to Los Angeles at the historic Los Angeles Theatre, the first theatrical musical at that venue. CARRIE THE MUSICAL begins previews on October 1, 2015 and officially opens on October 8, 2015. The Alliance Theatre's production of A STEADY RAIN, a contemporary crime drama by writer and producer Keith Huff (Mad Men, American Crime), is directed by Steppenwolf Theatre co-founder Jeff Perry (who currently plays White House Chief of Staff Cyrus Beene on ABC's SCANDAL). A STEADY RAIN runs on the Hertz Stage at the Alliance Theatre now thorugh October 11, 2015. Opening night is tonight, September 23, 2015.

Vienna, Austria Sept 22nd, 2015 - Vienna, the music capital of the world, will once again be in the spotlight with the Hollywood in Vienna gala, taking place at the historic Vienna Concert Hall on October 16, 2015. Many Hollywood & Broadway Stars will attend and perform at the red-carpet event. Apart from Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning Guest of Honor James Newton Howard ('The Hunger Games', 'Maleficent', 'The Dark Knight'), Hollywood in Vienna is excited to welcome composer Richard Bellis (Stephen Kings 'IT') plus another thirty Hollywood guests and international media representatives. ORF (Austrian Radio Broadcasting) will broadcast the gala, for the third time, in 35 countries worldwide.

Complete casting has been announced for the Westchester Sandbox Theatre's mainstage production of CARRIE The Musical running October 2nd-11th, 2015 at the Mamaroneck venue. Based on the acclaimed novel by Stephen King, Carrie features a book by Lawrence D. Cohen (screenwriter of the classic film), lyrics by Academy Award winner Dean Pitchford (Footloose & Fame), and music by Academy Award winner Michael Gore (Fame).

Originally titled PETER & JERRY, AT HOME AT THE ZOO opened on Saturday September 12 at the H&R Block City Stage in Union Station. Edward Albee wrote AT HOME AT THE ZOO the latest production of the Kansas City Actors Theatre. Doug Weaver directs the powerful dramatic offering starring three of Kansas City's top performers.

With his new novel, 'Lasting Impressions', author and playwright John Schlarbaum is attempting to make a great first impression with readers for the second time.
