Greg MacKellan, artistic director of 42nd Street Moon, and Stephanie Rhoads, producing director, today announced details of the upcoming 2010-11 season of uncommon musical theater. For its eighteenth season, merriment abounds in a season rife with Lovers, Liars and Clowns at the Eureka Theatre. The great American composers, lyricists, and librettists featured in 2010-11 are Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Jerome Kern, George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, John Kander and Fred Ebb, George S. Kaufman, Stephen Sondheim and more.

Greg MacKellan, artistic director of 42nd Street Moon, and Stephanie Rhoads, producing director, are proud to announce that the Ira and Leonore Gershwin Philanthropic Fund has awarded the company a grant in the amount of $25,000.

The offering has been called 'Forget Your Troubles' and as Rhoads explains: 'In this time of turmoil and uncertainly, we hope that 42nd Street Moon will be a place to experience the sweet joy that a visit to vintage Broadway musicals can offer.'

Here are the Nominations for Outstanding Awards from the San Francisco Bay Theatre Area Critics Circle. Winners will from each catagory will be announced in approximately two weeks. A Gala Cocktail party will be held for the winners in each catagory at A.C.T. Columbia Room on May 4th. 42nd Street Moon concludes the year with the delightful musical Ben Franklin in Paris, a forgotten gem from the richly prolific 1965-66 Broadway season.

Cabaret and concert star Andrea Marcovicci brings her own captivating high style to the role of the magnificent and mercurial fashion doyenne, Gabrielle (Coco) Chanel in 42nd Street Moon's upcoming production of Coco. Alan J. Lerner and Andre Previn's musical memory play - unseen anywhere since the early 1970s -- will preview April 24 and 25, open on April 26, and run through May 11.
