Having dreamt time and time again about the world of Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, my castmates and I couldn't have been any more excited to finally set foot in the Broadway Theatre. On the day that we would finally move to the theater, we had our last morning rehearsal at the studio. Showing up at the 890 Broadway studios that morning felt like Christmas Eve and high school graduation, combined! Being able to count the mere hours until we made the big move created an excitement in the room that was so thick we could feel it.

It's a very exciting time at Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella because we are just days away from moving out of our rehearsal studios and into the Broadway Theatre. It's truly astounding to think about how quickly time has passed since we started this process; it's probably due to the fact that as a company we have had so much fun. The atmosphere at rehearsal has been so warm and welcoming--something that definitely is trickling down from the people in charge--so it's the perfect place to have fun and just play.

Hi! My name is Cody Williams and I am so excited to be working on Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella. Over the next month I'll be blogging about my rehearsal experience for this INCREDIBLE production. We rehearse at the historic 890 Broadway building, home to the American Ballet Theatre, Gibney Dance Center, and some of the nicest elevators in all of New York! My time with R+H's Cinderella started this summer with a month long workshop, continued with a reading in October and although we hadn't yet started actual rehearsals, we performed in the Macy's Day Parade this Thanksgiving (check that sucker of the bucket list!) We started rehearsal for the Broadway production the first week of December.

Rehearsals for RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S Cinderella will begin Thursday, December 6 with preview performances starting January 25 prior to Opening Night on Sunday, March 3. (The previously announced opening date of February 24 turned out to be Oscar Night.) The box office at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway at 53rd St.) will open Monday, December 17 at 10 a.m.

Complete casting has just been announced for the new production of RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA, which begins performances in January on Broadway. RODGERS + HAMMERSTEIN'S CINDERELLA will perform at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway at 53rd St).

On November 5, host Christopher Meloni welcomed celebrities, Broadway greats, philanthropy influencers and the New York elite to celebrate Make Believe on Broadway. The evening showcased Broadway and Hollywood's brightest stars as they unite in a benefit performance on behalf of Only Make Believe, a non-profit that brings the magic of theater to children in hospitals and care facilities. Westport Country Playhouse's one-night-only fundraising gala, "The Full McNally: A Celebration of the Writing and Works of Terrence McNally," will take place this evening, September 24. McNally is the winner of Tony Awards for his plays "Love! Valour! Compassion!" and "Master Class," and his books for the musicals "Ragtime" and "Kiss of the Spiderwoman." His other works include "The Full Monty," and "Lips Together, Teeth Apart," which was produced at Westport Country Playhouse in 2011.

Friday night after the show I walked down the street to Evita and met up with my friend, Erica Mansfield. We hopped into a cab and made our way east to Biblioteca to grab a drink in honor, Evan, Julie Kotaride's fiance's, 30th birthday. Birthday cheer and margaritas hit the spot.

A longtime member of the 'Mamma Mia' cast on tour and Bway, Erica's now performing in her 2nd straight Rob Ashford-choreographed show.

On Wednesday evening, June 20th, a private reading of QUILT - A Musical Celebration at Rosie O'Donnell's Maravel Arts Center, home of Rosie's Theater Kids in New York, took place to mark the 25th anniversary of The NAMES Project AIDS Memorial Quilt in advance of its planned summer return to the nation's capital. The Champagne Set at Flute, a cabaret series created as a platform to highlight the vast array of vocal talents of the Broadway community, will take place tonight, May 21st at Flute Bar in Gramercy at 40 E. 20th Street, New York, NY. Performance begins at 8:00pm. This initial installation of The Champagne Set will feature smooth jazz standards. There is no cover charge.

The 2012 Tommy Tune Awards winners have been announced! To a crowd of more than 2,500 people, Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) declared the winners of TUTS' tenth annual Tommy Tune Awardson the evening of Tuesday, April 17, at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Adding extra excitement to the evening, the award ceremony's namesake and nine-time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune made a special appearance to kick off the show and to present the night's top honor.

Broadway's Future - presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul in association with N + N Productions - continues Monday, April 16th at 6PM in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Breckenridge, President and CEO of Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS), announced today the nominations and presenters for TUTS' tenth annual Tommy Tune Awards which will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. Developed by TUTS, the Tommy Tune Awards honor musical theatre excellence at the high school level.
