Padua Playwrights have announced the world premiere of the latest comic meditation from poet-playwright Murray Mednick. Directed by Mednick and Guy Zimmerman, The Fool and The Red Queen opens tonight May 19 at the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood, where it will continue to run through June 24 as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival.

E! has released a promo trailer for the upcoming season of KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS. Musician Kanye West, who is currently dating Kim Kardashian, makes a cameo appearance in the clip, hinting to viewers that he may be featured during the reality series upcoming season.

Starring Heather Headley as Rachel Marron and Lloyd Owen as Frank Farmer in the roles made famous on film by the late Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, tickets for THE BODYGUARD went on sale on May 1, taking bookings until 27 April 2013 for the production's first booking period. Previews begin on 6 November 2012, twenty years after the release of the Oscar nominated film. Opening night is 5 December. Can't wait? Dallas Theater Center Names Joel Ferrell Associate Artistic Director

Dallas Theater Center Artistic Director Kevin Moriarty announced today that DTC Associate Artist Joel Ferrell has been promoted to Associate Artistic Director. In his new position, Ferrell will continue to direct and choreograph plays and musicals at DTC, while also expanding his role as the lead producer of DTC's mainstage productions. Ferrell will work closely with guest directors and designers to oversee productions from the initial creative process, including design and casting, through the productions' rehearsals and performances. Ferrell began working for DTC on a freelance basis in the late 1990s and joined the artistic staff on a full time basis in 2009.

With hundreds of entries to the talent search via Youtube and Twitter, 10 Finalists - five male and five female - will battle it out in a live final to become a potential Leading Lady and Leading Man of the West End, at the Lyric Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue, on Monday 9th July.

The American National Theatre (Sean Cullen, Founder; Mark Rubinsky, President) will present, in association with InViolet Repertory Theater and Urban Stages, a staged reading of Erin Mallon's Branched, and Robert Emmet Lunney's For Nina, in association with The Directors Company and Two River Theater Company tonight, April 30 at Theater Row's Clurman Theater (410 West 42nd Street). This day of readings follows The ANT's first presentation Nobody Suspects a Butterfly, by Christine Henry. Branched will be performed at 4:00PM, and For Nina at 7:00PM. Admission is FREE to the public.

West End Eurovision, now in its 5th year, sees 12 West End casts, including such shows as Legally Blonde, Phantom of the Opera, War Horse and Les Miserables, produce fully costumed, choreographed versions of a past Eurovision Song Contest entry. This iconic show was nominated in the top 5 'Theatrical Events of the year 2011' category in the recent BroadwayWorld.com Awards. ALLEGIANCE - A NEW AMERICAN MUSICAL Starring Lea Salonga & More Set for The Old Globe 2012-13 Season - Full Season Announcement, San Diego

The Old Globe's 2012-13 Season will feature the World Premieres of two new musicals: Allegiance - A New American Musical by Jay Kuo and Lorenzo Thione and A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder by Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak. The season also includes George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion in celebration of the classic play's 100th anniversary and the World Premiere of a new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House by Anne-Charlotte Hanes Harvey and Kirsten Brandt. Two recent Broadway hits will make their San Diego debuts at the Globe: David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People and Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities. Rounding out the season are the West Coast Premiere of Bekah Brunstetter's Be a Good Little Widow and the Southern California Premiere of Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brothers Size.
