Bette is back! The Dallas/Fort Worth tour of Camilla Carr's award-winning play, starring Morgana Shaw and directed by Ryan Matthieu Smith, continues. “Bette” will run two nights only, at 8 p.m. August 11-12, at Stage West in Fort Worth. Following the Stage West presentation, “All About Bette” moves to the Stone Cottage Theatre in Addison. The performances will be August 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. (more...)

FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training's inaugural season of Dog Days Theatre continues with DOUBLE INDEMNITY, David Pichette and R. Hamilton Wright's stage adaptation of James M. Cain's titillating crime novel that inspired the groundbreaking Academy Award-nominated film noir of the same name. Dog Days Theatre is a new theater project offering smart, contemporary works just light enough for the dog days of summer, featuring two plays mounted in the Cook Theatre, located in the FSU Center for the Performing Arts, using professional actors, directors and designers from the community and around the country along with the talents of the Conservatory's graduate students. Directed by FSU/Asolo Conservatory Director Greg Leaming and Jesse Jou,  DOUBLE INDEMNITY previews August 8 and 9, opens August 10 and runs through August 27.  (more...)

He's acting as two characters, first as the Narrator of the show and second as the dog park custodian, Jake. The Pazinski family returns to Circle's stage in King O' the Moon by Tom Dudzick, the second play in a trilogy inspired by the author's childhood. Circle produced Dudzick's Over the Tavern in 2005 and The Last Mass at St. Casimir's in 2007.  Ten years after Over the Tavern, this sequel takes place during the rebellious '60's as Apollo 11 is on its voyage to the moon. The Pazinski's come together as their lives seem to fall apart. Prior knowledge of this working-class family is not a prerequisite to appreciate the hilarious and heartfelt end to the three part series at Circle. (more...)

The newly formed Orchard Theatre of Texas (OTX) is proud to present the World Premiere of Spirit of the Trail, a musical celebration of the heart and soul of the legendary Chisholm Trail, whose 150th anniversary is being celebrated this year in cities throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Spirit of the Trail will open on Thursday June 1 at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame and Museum.
