Patrick Ewald and Shaked Berenson's Epic Pictures Group is expanding its film production and finance operations with the hiring of John Short as V.P. of International Sales. The hiring marks Ewald and Berenson's commitment to focus on Epic's original productions, while Short will oversee day-to-day operations for the company's successful foreign sales business. Short is introducing Epic's slate at the upcoming Filmart in Hong Kong, March 18-21 and will then attend the Marche du Film in Cannes, May 16-25.

IFC has greenlit ten half-hour episodes of The Birthday Boys, a new scripted original sketch comedy to join the network's 'Always on.

Producers of DOWNTON ABBEY have confirmed that actress Siobhan Finneran, who plays villainous house maid Sarah O'Brien in the wildly popular historic drama, will not return for the fourth season of the show.

Following this morning's news that Shirley MacLaine will return to DOWNTON ABBEY for season four, and that the show is adding a slew of new characters, ITV has debuted the first look at Lady Mary, played by Michelle Dockery, and baby George, from the upcoming season. Check out the photo below!

Glen Cove, N.Y. resident Frederick Stroppel, author of nine collections of full-length plays and one-acts, many of which have been performed in New York and internationally, has chosen Long Island's Bare Bones Theater Company for the world premiere of Dead of Night, an evening of two one-act plays of macabre humor and suspense. There will be eight performances, beginning tonight, February 1, and continuing through February 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15 and 16, 2013, at 57 Main Street in Northport, NY.
