The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 842 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. The 2019 class is 50% women, 29% people of color, and represents 59 countries. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2019.

Moviegoers are still buzzing about Marvel Studios' “Ant-Man and The Wasp,” the follow-up to 2015's “Ant-Man” and the 20th consecutive Marvel Cinematic Universe film to debut at No. 1 opening weekend and ranked in the box office top 10 for six consecutive weeks this summer. Marvel Studios announced today that production has begun on ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, starring Paul Rudd (“Captain America: Civil War,” “The Fundamentals of Caring”), Evangeline Lilly (“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,” “Lost”), Michael Peña (“The Martian,” “Fury”) and Academy Award® winner Michael Douglas (“Behind the Candelabra,” “Wall Street”), who all return to the roles they originated in the 2015 box office hit “Ant-Man.”

The “bawdy, sexy” (Neil Pond, Parade) and “ridiculously fun” (Rachel Smith, FOX-TV) comedy BAYWATCH makes waves with a new extended version, featuring outrageous footage not seen in theaters, on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack August 29, 2017 from Paramount Home Media Distribution.  Fans can dive in two weeks early on Digital HD, August 15.
