The Broadway community mourns the loss of Tony Award® - winning actor and Tony Award - nominated director, Roger Rees, who passed away on Fridayat age 71. The marquees of Broadway theatres in New York will be dimmed in his memory on Wednesday, July 15th, at exactly 7:45pm for one minute.

Townsend Productions is delighted to announce that it will be staging their acclaimed two hander production of Stephen Lowe's version of Robert Tressell's The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists at The CLF Art Cafe in the Building Bussey Building from 5-31 October at 7.30pm.

It was just back in late-May when we reported that Roger Rees, then starring in THE VISIT on Broadway opposite Chita Rivera had departed the show on a medical leave. Today, we are sad to share the news that the star passed away on Friday evening, at home in New York at 71. According to a statement from his publicist, he passed away at home after battling a brief illness.

Curious Theatre Company continues Tarell Alvin McCraney's The Brother/Sister Plays, a trilogy set deep in the Louisiana Bayou that follows one close-knit community across generations as they come of age through trials of heartache, love and kinship.

This summer Alan Ayckbourn is reviving his 1974 play Confusions for the first time to mark the Stephen Joseph Theatre's 60th anniversary. Confusions premiered at the company's first home, the Library Theatre, Scarborough and has since become one of the most popular and studied new plays of the last 40 years. The Broadway runs of WOLF HALL: PARTS 1 & 2 officially come to an end this weekend. Based on the novels by Booker Prize-winner Hilary Mantel, WOLF HALL ends its 15-week engagement today, July 5, 2015, at the Winter Garden Theatre.
