Two decades ago, cabaret was mesmerized by the sudden presence of a phenomenal male vocalist by the name of Tom Andersen, who quickly found himself not merely an overnight sensation in the clubs of New York and other major cities across the nation but throughout the globe. Part of his attraction was that, whereas most light baritones will strain and strive to hit notes in the highest register possible, to Andersen it came as naturally as simply drawing a breath; he was a theatrical tenor in the truest sense. And he may well now have an heir apparent in the form of Seth Sikes, who burst onto the scene on June 10 with a striking Judy Garland tribute show at 54 Below on what would have been the legendary lady's 93rd birthday.

Seth Sikes, whose show Seth Sikes Is Still Singing Judy Garland celebrates some of Garland's most popular songs, is returning for a fourth time to 54 Below, after three sold-out concerts, and will welcome popular singer Trevor McQueen to help commemorate Garland's 93rd birthday on Wednesday, June 10th.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to host the return of Broadway and concert star Daniel Reichard, who returned to Birdland on Sunday, May 10 at 6pm, with a show celebrating the music and lyrics of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. The evening featured selections from the celebrated songwriting team's catalogue, including rarely-heard jewels and treasured classics alike. The 13th Street Repertory Theater celebrated veteran stage/film/TV actor Ray DeMattis' 50th anniversary in the business -- honoring his lifetime achievements -- by proclaiming May 10th 'Ray DeMattis Day.'  DeMattis was presented with a framed certificate of honor by one of his proteges -- Michael J.C. Anderson, an actor with the 13th Street Rep.  And DeMattis, in turn, presented the first annual  'Ray DeMattis Award,' honoring young artists-to-watch, to actors Cody Jordan and John Brady, co-stars of Chip Deffaa's musical-comedy success  'Mad About the Boy.'  They each received a plaque, a copy of a cast album featuring DeMattis ('Flora the Red Menace'), and a $100.00 honorarium.

Provincetown's most intimate venue welcomes the biggest names from Broadway and concert stages as RJ Productions in association with The Provincetown Theater proudly hosts a summer season stacked with many Tony Award winners and nominees.

The 13th Street Repertory Theater will present a teach-in on the history of gay musical theater, and gay songs in pop music, following the performances next Sunday (April 26th) at 2 pm and 7 pm of its current hit musical 'Mad About the Boy.' The presentation will be moderated by ASCAP Award-winning writer/director Chip Deffaa (creator of 'Mad About the Boy'), and will feature members of the cast, joined by a special surprise guest.

Seth Sikes, who is returning for a third time to 54 Below, after two sold-out concerts, will welcome popular actress/singer Nellie McKay for a selection of songs during his show Seth Sikes Is Still Singing Judy Garland. Seth's performance celebrates some of Judy Garland's most celebrated songs - some of which he will sings in her key. Best known in the theater as an Assistant Director (on shows like The Nance, Tribes, and Pageant), Sikes gets on the stage this time with a seven-piece band to recount how Garland captivated him as a young boy in Paris, TX, and to sing some of her greatest hits.
