According to the NY Ties, producers have confirmed that a fully reworked version of FLASHDANCE, which opened in the West End in 2010, is headed to Broadway in Fall 2012. Producer Thomas Viertel told NYT: "We felt we'd learned enough from the London production to re-work the show substantially and then perhaps take it out on tour, but then we did a table reading of the new script this fall and felt we had the makings of a solid Broadway show. It was a Lazarus-like moment."

Cast members from the Las Vegas company of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical JERSEY BOYS will perform on "The Doctors" this Thursday December 15.

The 2010 Tony Award winning Best Musical MEMPHIS previously announced that original Broadway cast member, and Outer Critics Circle Nominee, Cass Morgan will return to the company as "Mama." Morgan will begin performances tonight, December 15th. Nancy Opel played her final performance on Sunday, December 11th, before taking a leave of absence to appear in David Bryan and Joe DiPietro's The Toxic Avenger at The Alley Theater in Houston, TX. Opel is expected to return to her role in MEMPHIS in February, 2012.

The producers of LEAP OF FAITH, the new musical based on the Paramount Pictures film, have just announced new members of the creative team for the production that will have its Broadway debut in the fall of 2012 at a theatre to be announced. With music by Academy and Grammy Award-winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater, LEAP OF FAITH will star 4-time Tony Award nominee Raúl Esparza as conman Jonas Nightingale.

Broadway's Memphis will begin a new performance schedule starting January 3, 2012, which will include 7pm performances Tuesday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday evening performances will take place at 8pm, with Wednesday and Saturday matinees at 2pm, and Sunday at 3pm.

The smash-hit JERSEY BOYS moves to a new home at Paris Las Vegas this spring and tickets will be available beginning today, December 12, at 10 a.m.

Memphis roared into Toronto on Wednesday night, where it will play the Toronto Centre for the Arts until Christmas Eve. Memphis opened in Toronto this past Wednesday at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. Hometown boy Sergio Trujillo came up from the Great White Way to celebrate with Dancap President Aubrey Dan and the Tony Award from when the show won Best Musical in 2010. BWW was on hand to bring you photos of the production and all the fun after!
