Upcoming Equity Auditions from Sunday, February 8, 2015.

The winner of the 2015 Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater was announced earlier this week by the American Academy of Arts and Letters, which administers the Rodgers Awards: String, by Adam Gwon and Sarah Hammond. The show was awarded a Studio Production.

Ben Rimalower's new play about spending beyond his means -- will be performed in rep with his first piece PATTI ISSUES at The Duplex (61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue) through April 29. PATTI ISSUES, which ran for a year at the same venue and subsequently toured the country and abroad, explores his obsession with Broadway diva Patti LuPone and his relationship with his troubled gay father. The pieces will be performed on alternating Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. Both shows are written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark.

Artistic director Charles Busch -- in his Lyrics & Lyricists debut -- serves up a cavalcade of stories and songs about the legendary women of Hollywood's movie musical Golden Age in 'Here's to the Girls!' this weekend, February 7, 8 and 9, 2015 at 92Y.

Two senior citizens rediscover the joys of human companionship through their shared affection for animals in Christian O'Reilly's new play CHAPATTI. The Irish love story - by turns warm, funny, poignant and offbeat - continues the Playhouse's Thompson Shelterhouse Theatre season with performances tonight, Feb. 7 through March 8.

Philadelphia Theatre Company's continues its 40th Anniversary season with the Tony Award-nominated play Mothers and Sons by Terrence McNally tonight, February 6, through March 8. Directed by Wendy Goldberg, the cast features Hugh Kennedy, Emmy Award-winning actress Michael Learned, James Lloyd Reynolds, and Patrick Gibbons and Jacob D. Wilner in alternating performances.

Funny, romantic and buoyed by whimsical original songs, The Light Princess is an enchanting tale for all ages, running at The New Victory Theater from February 27 - March 8, 2015.

Playwright Marcus Gardley has won the prestigious Will Glickman Award for The House that will not Stand, which received its world premiere at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in February 2014. Gardley and Berkeley Repertory Theatre will receive awards at Theatre Bay Area's Annual Conference on April 13, 2015 at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Gardley will also receive the award's $4,000 purse.

The Pulitzer Prize winning drama Ruined by Lynn Nottage makes its Baltimore premiere at Everyman Theatre this winter. The epic play features a cast of 17, led by Everyman Resident Company Member Dawn Ursula, who was seen last season as Vera Stark in Nottage's comedic drama By the Way, Meet Vera Stark. The production is directed by internationally acclaimed director Tazewell Thompson and will run from tonight, February 4th through March 8th.

Actors Co-op takes 'pride' in announcing its third show in its 2014-2015 season (and 23rd year of producing theatrical excellence in Los Angeles!) with the unforgettable classic, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE, written by Helene Jerome, based on the novel by Jane Austen and directed by Linda Kerns.

59E59 Theaters welcomes Mary J. Davis and MBL Productions with C.O.A.L. (Confessions of a Liar), written by David Brian Colbert and directed by Craig Baldwin. C.O.A.L. (Confessions of a Liar) begins performances on Thursday, March 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, March 22. Press opening is Wednesday, March 11 at 7:30 PM. The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the New York premiere of BUZZER, by Tracey Scott Wilson. Directed by Obie Award-winner Anne Kauffman, BUZZER marks the return of Wilson to The Public following her acclaimed The Good Negro in 2009 and The Story in 2003. BUZZER will begin previews in The Public's Martinson Theater on Tuesday, March 24 and will run through Sunday, April 26, with an official press opening on Wednesday, April 8.

Nevada's largest country music festival, Night in the Country, will kick off its 14th year with some of country music's hottest artists as well as the biggest lineup in its history. To accommodate the larger lineup, the festival will be opening a second stage as well as beginning the music on Thursday night. This year's festival will take place July 23 - 25, 2015 at the Lyon County Fairgrounds in Yerington, Nev.
