STAGE TUBE: SILENCE! THE MUSICAL Releases New Commercial

The new, highly provocative TV commercial for this season's smash hit, SILENCE! The Musical, is set to being airing today on most major networks. SILENCE! The Musical, the unauthorized parody of The Silence of the Lambs, with book by Hunter Bell, music & lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan, and direction & choreography by Christopher Gattelli, opened July 9, 2011 to unanimous rave reviews. The show immediately became a sold-out phenomenon and was recently selected by Time Magazine as one of the year's Top 5 Musicals.

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and Denver Center Attractions have confirmed today that show show sold out its three-week engagement within 5 hours after tickets went on sale yesterday, January 24 at 10am. THE BOOK OF MORMON will play the Ellie Caulkins Opera House from August 14 -September 2, 2012. Following the Denver engagement, THE BOOK OF MORMON tour will play the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles for a twelve week run from September 18 through November 25, 2012. Tickets for the Los Angeles engagement will go on sale soon.

Producers Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian and Tom Wirtshafter today announced the complete cast for the North American premiere of Nina Raine's new play Tribes, directed by multiple Lortel and Obie Award-winner David Cromer. The cast will feature Will Brill (Our Town), Russell Harvard (There Will Be Blood), Steppenwolf Theatre co-founder Jeff Perry (August: Osage County), Susan Pourfar (When the Rain Stops Falling), Gayle Rankin (The Illusion at Signature Theatre), and Academy Award® nominee and Emmy Award®-winner Mare Winningham (Georgia). (This production marks a reunion for Mr. Perry, who hasn't appeared Off Broadway in nearly thirty years, and Ms. Winningham. They played husband and wife on ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," and will also play husband and wife in Tribes.)
