Cast of PIPPIN to Kick Off 'Back to School' Season at Bloomingdale's, 8/8

The Tony Award winning Best Revival of a Musical PIPPIN will help kick off "Back to School" shopping at Bloomingdale's (1000 3rd Ave, NYC) with a special event on Thursday, August 8th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In addition to unveiling four PIPPIN-themed window displays on 3rdAvenue featuring costumes from the show, cast members will be on hand at 5:30 p.m. to perform a few song selections. The event will also boast fun circus-themed activities for the whole family including face painting, juggling and various contests. Bloomingdale's shoppers who spend $350 or more in women's fashion will receive a voucher, good for two tickets, to see PIPPIN on Broadway, while supplies last.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has broken its own Opera House theater record in Washington, D.C. for the week ending July 21 at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts grossing $2,079,911.00. THE BOOK OF MORMON first broke the record the week of July 14.

Lincoln Center Theater, under the direction of Andre Bishop, Producing Artistic Director, has announced that Anne-Marie Duff will make her New York stage debut as Lady Macbeth opposite Ethan Hawke in its upcoming production of Shakespeare's MACBETH, directed by Jack O'Brien. The production will begin performances Thursday, October 24 and open on Thursday, November 21 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).
