Tickets to THE BOOK OF MORMON at ASU Gammage on Sale 8/3

The producers of the national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, and ASU Gammage announced today that single tickets will go on sale Monday, August 3 at 10 am. THE VISIT cast album, out tomorrow, is a joint release of two labels: Broadway Records and Yellow Sound Label, and is co-executive produced by Hunter Arnold, Carl Daikelerand Sandi Moran. Tonight, July 9 (7PM), the company will reunite at Barnes and Noble (150 East 86th Street) for a CD signing and performance.

We reported it first last week, and now it's official as word is just in that Broadway and Australian stage vet Anthony Warlow will return to Broadway this summer when he steps into the roles of "Charles Frohman" and "Captain Hook" in mid-July. There is still no word on the star's exact start date, or the reason for Kelsey Grammer's temporary departure. Warlow will remain in the show until September 13, when Kelsey Grammer, who originated the role on Broadway, returns as Captain of the pirate ship.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, began rehearsals today (pictured, left) for the world premiere musical Waitress. Based on the motion picture written by Adrienne Shelly the new musical has a book by Jessie Nelson, music and lyrics by Sara Bareilles, direction by Diane Paulus, and choreography by Chase Brock.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins Tuesday, June 30 at the Center for the Performing Arts in San Jose and plays a limited two-week engagement through Sunday, July 12. In San Jose, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $28 apiece.

Ghostlight Records just announced that the Original Broadway Cast Album for Something Rotten!, the new musical comedy nominated for 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, hit #1 on the Billboard Top Broadway chart its first week in digital release. The album also debuted on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #94, the Billboard Top Current Albums chart at #45, and the Billboard Overall Digital Albums chart at #22. This marks the strongest overall cast album debut since June 2014, and the third-strongest sales week of any cast recording in five years. Something Rotten! is officially available now on iTunes here and other digital formats with a 36-page booklet. The disc will be available in stores and online July 17.
