It was announced today that The Visit, recently nominated for 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical, will host a conversation with two iconic composers following the evening performance on Wednesday, May 20.  Tony Award-winning composer of The Visit, John Kander, will sit down with Tony Award winning composer of the upcoming Broadway musical Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda.  Tickets are available for this special performance and talkback at telecharge.com (212-239-6200). The Visit is on Broadway at the Lyceum Theater (149 West 45thStreet, NYC).  Time Out New York is the sponsor for the evening.

Loosely based on the fictitious life of Pippin the Hunchback, this musical tells the story of the young prince Pippin, Heir to the Frankish throne, who is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the un-extraordinary moments that happen every day.

Tony-Nominated AIRLINE HIGHWAY to Close One Week Early

BroadwayWorld has confirmed that Manhattan Theatre Club's presentation of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's AIRLINE HIGHWAY will be closing early on June 7. The play received four 2015 Tony Award nominations.

Lottery Policy Set for THE BOOK OF MORMON's Run at Marcus Center

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, has announced a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins May 19 at the Marcus Center in Milwaukee and plays a limited two- week engagement through May 31. In Milwaukee, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 a piece. Entry forms will be available two and half hours prior to each performance in the Marcus Center Box Office Lobby at 929 North Water Street. The drawing will take place two hours prior to each performance and entrants must be present to win.

The company of Broadway's The Visit gathered in the studio today, April 27th, to record the musical's original cast album. The Visit is the final musical ever written by legendary Oscar Award, Grammy Award and Tony Award-winning composer John Kander and his writing partner lyricist Fred Ebb, before Mr. Ebb passed away. Produced by the Emmy Award-winning and Grammy nominated producer Michael Croiter (Matilda, Big Fish, Heathers), The Visit album will be released June 26th, 2015.
