The Broadway Theatre Project has announced that actor, conductor, music director and vocal arranger David Loud will teach young performers aspiring to be on Broadway, at this year's summer intensive program. This summer, David Loud has asked to work with 12 of the Broadway Theatre Project's best singers in a workshop setting. He will also do a Q&A and teach master classes to all of the students.

Harvey officially opened last night, June 14, 2012 for a limited engagement through August 5th, 2012, and BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge was there to celebrate with the cast. Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced today the full cast and creative teams for the first two productions of the 2012 season: The Importance of Being Earnest and the World Premiere of The Blue Deep. The Importance of Being Earnest will be presented on the Main Stage from June 26 through July 14 (opening June 28) and The Blue Deep will grace the Nikos Stage from June 27 through July 8 (opening June 28). Both casts arrived in Williamstown today for their first rehearsals on the bucolic Williams College campus in preparation for the runs of these exciting and unique productions at the Festival.

Over 350 guests including current and past New York City high school students, and the performing arts professional mentors who have participated in TDF's Open Doors, the theatre arts mentoring program that TDF founded in 1998 with playwright Wendy Wasserstein, will attend this year's graduation at 5:30pm tonight, June 11 at The Pershing Square Signature Center - Irene Diamond Stage (480 West 42nd Street, NYC). This year has been Open Doors' biggest year ever with a total of 23 mentors and 7 guest mentors working with 22 groups of students from New York City high schools.

According to contactmusic.com, 30 Rock's Alec Baldwin revealed in an interview with Men's Journal Magazine that he is developing a new Broadway musical with director Scott Ellis. No dates have been set and few details have been released.

Roundabout Theatre Company has just announced that Tony® Award winner Douglas Hodge will star in a new Broadway production of Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand, with a translation by Ranjit Bolt and directed by Jamie Lloyd. Cyrano de Bergerac will begin previews on September 14, 2012 and open officially on October 11, 2012 at the American Airlines Theatre on Broadway (227 West 42nd Street). This will be a limited engagement through November 25, 2012. The full cast & design team will be announced soon.
