Founded in 1989, Tapestry Dance Company has been a hallmark of the performing arts in Austin and one of the most respected tap dance companies in the world for over 20 years. The company has won many prestigious awards, including "Best Dance Company" from the Austin Chronicle and "Best Ensemble" from the Austin Critics Table. In addition to producing several events and concerts every year, Tapestry Dance Company also teaches dance trough their award-winning academy.

Internationally acclaimed tap dance virtuoso Savion Glover returns to Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College to open their 2013-2014 season with a one-night-only engagement of his new show, Savion Glover's STePz, on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 8pm. Emmy Award-nominated actor Dulé Hill will return to the stage in After Midnight, marking his first appearance in a musical since Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk. With his own unique song and dance style, Hill will serve as 'The Host' of the evening, leading the audience through the heat and glamour of the Harlem Renaissance using the words of Langston Hughes.

McCarter Theatre Center is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 roster of world-renowned artists on its 2013-14 Presenting Series. During the upcoming season, McCarter will present over 40 performances by world-class performing artists curated by Special Programming Director William W. Lockwood. Mr. Lockwood has been responsible for McCarter's special programming for over 50 years, and remains the senior arts presenter in the country. Additional performances will be added throughout the season.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 world dance series. Since the inception of the dance series in 1966, more than 175 regional, national and international companies have premiered new works. This year's lineup includes Savion Glover's newest show STEPZ, the Nai-Ni Chin Dance Company performing a Lunar New Year Celebration, the Krasnoyarsk National Dance Company of Siberia, and the Russian National Ballet Theatre's production of THE SLEEPING BEAUTY. These companies reflect the artistic excellence and cultural diversity to which Brooklyn Center is dedicated. Tickets to Brooklyn Center's world dance series range from $30-$45 with a 50% discount for children ages 12 and under.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College announces its 59th season of music, dance, theater, and family programming reflecting the multicultural diversity of Brooklyn. The outstanding line-up features performances from Jamaica, Russia, Canada, and China, as well as the United States, and includes both Brooklyn premieres and returning favorites.
