Broadway's NO MAN'S LAND & WAITING FOR GODOT to Offer $30 Rush Tickets

Rush tickets to Harold Pinter's NO MAN'S LAND and Samuel Beckett's WAITING FOR GODOT starring Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley directed by Sean Mathias will be available during the run of the limited repertory season. The front row of the orchestra and other locations will be available exclusively to rush ticket buyers. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning at 10am daily (and 12pm on Sundays when the box office is open) for $30.00 (including facility fee), two tickets maximum per person, on the day of the performance, subject to availability. Tickets must be purchased in person at the Cort Theatre box office (138 West 48th Street).

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company led by Producing Artistic Directors Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, continues its 22nd season and the third season in its new Pasadena home with Endgame by Samuel Beckett, opening Saturday, October 26 and closing Saturday, November 23, 2013, with previews starting October 19. Endgame, directed by Geoff Elliott, is performed in repertory with Pericles, Prince of Tyre by William Shakespeare, September 14 through November 24, and The Guardsman by Ferenc Molnar, October 5 through November 30.

SMOKEFALL to Open 10/5 at Goodman Theatre

Set in Grand Rapids, Michigan, acclaimed playwright and screenwriterNoah Haidle explores the passage of time and the fleeting pleasures of life through three generations of one family in Smokefall, his newest work. The Michigan native playwright, who describes Smokefall as "an incredibly personal play that has been with me for a long time," most recently wrote the 2012 film Stand Up Guys (starring Alan Arkin, Christopher Walken and Al Pacino) and previously authored Mr. Marmalade,Vigils (at the Goodman in 2006) and Persephone for the stage. Directed by Obie Award-winner Anne Kauffman in her Goodman debut, Smokefall is a world-premiere co-production with South Coast Repertory, running October 5 - November 3 in the Owen Theatre (opening night is Monday, October 14). 59E59 Theaters has announced that, following two highly successful, sold out runs in London at the Jermyn Street and Arts Theatres, Trevor Nunn's critically acclaimed production of Samuel Beckett's radio play ALL THAT FALL, starring Eileen Atkins and Michael Gambon, arrives in November for a strictly limited engagement. Produced by Richard Darbourne Ltd and Jermyn Street Theatre in association with Gene David Kirk, ALL THAT FALL begins performances on Tuesday, November 5 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 8. Press opening is Tuesday, November 12 at 7 PM.

Long-time PICT artistic director and founder, Andrew Paul and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre founder and former director of theatre initiatives at the August Wilson Center, Mark Clayton Southers have announced Pittsburgh's newest professional theatre company, The Phoenix. The mission of The Phoenix is to explore the issues facing our diverse and rapidly changing world through the language of theatre. The name is purposeful. The phoenix was a mythological creature that crossed borders finding a home in many cultures from ancient Greece and Egypt to Turkey, Persia, Russia, Tibet, China and Japan. It was and is a symbol of renewal, new life emerging from the ashes of the old in a never-ending cycle of death and rebirth.
