Black Button Eyes Productions is pleased to announce casting for its Chicago premiere musical NEVERMORE The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe, the moving life story of the iconic American writer told through haunting music, poetic storytelling and stunning stagecraft, with book, music and lyrics by Jonathan Christenson.

The second installment of Pride Films and Plays' His & His.'  cabaret series will be performed on Valentine's Day, Today, February 14 in The Broadway at the Pride Arts Center, 4139 N. Broadway. The His and His series follows the development of LGBT characters on Broadway, and celebrates the artists who wrote the great works of musical theater.

The New Colony is pleased to announce its exciting winter line-up of Side Stage programming, a collection of free readings presented on select nights in January and February at its new home, The Den Theatre Upstairs Mainstage, 1333 N. Side Stage kicks off with a five-year reunion reading of The New Colony's second season smash hit 11:11, followed by readings of three new works: STANLEY IN THE NAME OF LOVE, KIN FOLK and THUMBZ UP. Pride Films and Plays annual fall benefit Simply Sensational: Legends will reach new heights this year when Tony Award Winner Donna McKechnie headlines the event on October 20. She will be joined on stage by other musical guests American Idol Finalist Devin Velez, Colte Julian from Million Dollar Quartet, and Ryan Lanning from Bailiwick Chicago's The Wild Party. WGN's Dean Richards serves again as the emcee, which features a preshow reception at 6 pm, the performance at 7, and a post show champagne toast with Ms. McKechnie.
