The Tank Welcomes {Your Name Here} Queer Theater Company's SUMMER SHORTS This Weekend

The Tank, a non-profit arts presenter located in the heart of midtown, will present {Your Name Here} Queer Theater Company's Summer Shorts as part of The Tank's LGBTQ Pride Festival. Your Name Here (David Macke, Artistic Director) offers a fun evening of four short plays by queer playwrights that range from a chance encounter in a hotel room to finding love within the arms of a puma to finding something remarkably in common with one's own bully. The shows will be performed today, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 at 5 pm at The Tank.

This is especially true when the world turns out to be not as pretty and full of opportunity as we thought when we were younger. This realization is the focus of Mark Snyder's new play As Wide As I Can See, now playing at the HERE Arts Center. With a fascinating setting full of conflict and juxtaposition and strong performances, the play is on the right track but needs some work before it can reach its fullest potential.
