'Say Goodnight Gracie,' the Tony-nominated one-man show starring Alan Safier as show business legend George Burns, will be presented for one performance only on Sunday, October 30th at 2:00 p.m., at the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts.

Now, Michael Riedel reports in the New York Post that the play is getting closer to Broadway with a new reading set for Friday in New York, featuring Beau Bridges, his daughter Emily and Shuler Hensley. Riedel also reports that Justin Timberlake who has been looking for a theatre project will be 'approached' for the role of the show's young legal protege, Jack Brigance, played out of town by Sebastian Arcelus. There's no word on a potential timeline for the show, or if Timberlake is interested in the part.

According to published reports, 'The Perfect Host,' starring stage and screen star David Hyde Pierce, is set for a theatrical release on July 1, 2011. The film, which premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, also stars Clayne Crawford, Nathaniel Parker, Helen Reddy, Megahn Perry and Joseph Will.

This week, Arena Stage opened the highly anticipated A TIME TO KILL, starring Broadway's Sebastian Arcelus (ELF, JERSEY BOYS). The play is a Rupert Holmes' adaptation of a novel by John Grisham. Broadway's Sebastian Arcelus, who previously appeared onstage in ELF and JERSEY BOYS, is trying on a more serious, and non-singing role in A TIME TO KILL.
