Featuring some top notch production values and a vivacious cast, THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW will prove popular with both long-time fans of the show as well as those who are seeing it for the first time.

This year 14 students were selected from dozens of applicants from across the United States to participate in the 2013 Young Playwrights, Inc. Urban Retreat. The Urban Retreat is a nine day intensive in New York City that culminates in a staged reading off-broadway at the Lucille Lortell Theatre. The 2013 Urban Retreat Young Playwrights are: Ari Bell, Leah Bell, Jacqueline Crispino, Frank Garland, Jordan Eli Goldberg, Candace Hartsuyker, Leah Lane, Mollie Lipkowitz, Erin Neitzel, Dahlia Pham, Melina Schmidt, William Stieglitz, Irene Tapert, and Connor Woods.

Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning Bruce Norris' new play "A Parallelogram," directed by the Tony Award-winning Anna D. A Finborough Theatre commission, Colleen Murphy's Armstrong's War opens at the Finborough Theatre as a fully staged workshop production (prior to its official World Premiere in October 2013 at the renowned Arts Club Theatre, Vancouver, B.C., Canada) for a limited run of nine Sunday and Monday evening and Tuesday matinee performances from Sunday, 11 August 2013 (Press Night: Monday, 12 August at 7.30pm).

Goodman Theatre presents four free staged readings of new plays developed in the Playwrights Unit, a season-long residency program for local writers who meet twice monthly with members of the theater's artistic staff to discuss their plays in progress. Out of this process emerges four brand new plays, which appear in FREE staged readings: Sleeping with the Prince of Darkness: The Imagined Pillow Talk of FBI Agent John O'Neill by Greg Allen (July 20 at 7:30pm); F(law)less by christopher oscar peña (July 21 at 2:30pm); Prowess by Ike Holter (July 21 at 7:30pm); and Ninth Man Out by Alice Austen (August 16 at 7:30pm).

According to published reports, actor Paul Bhattacharjee went missing on July 10 after rehearsals at the Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square. The 53 year-old was in 'good spirits' when he was last seen and police have indicated that such a disappearance is 'totally out of character'.

The Actors Touring Company, Young Vic Theatre, Brageteatret & Schauspielhaus Wien will take their co-production, THE EVENTS, written by David Greig, on the road beginning this month. Directed by Ramin Gray, with music by John Browne, the show will play Edinburgh Fringe Fest before launching into a full UK tour. The entire itinerary is below.

Hearts and Eyes Theatre Collective has forged its reputation with the brave staging of human stories: the real and the personal in pursuit of truth and understanding. MY NAME IS RACHEL CORRIE is such a work, and will continue to build the company's reputation for the award-winning staging of true stories.

'A Parallelogram,' the riveting new play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winner Bruce Norris, is directed by Tony Award-winner Anna D. Shapiro at Center Theatre Group's Mark Taper Forum. 'A Parallelogram' will be presented at the Taper, tonight, July 10 through August 18, 2013. The opening is scheduled for July 21.

The Fugard Theatre in District Six's 2013 winter musical will be Richard O'Brien's iconic rock musical THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW.

Winning upwards of 50 awards (including Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, LA Weekly, Ovation, and Garland Awards) in just the past five years (BEST PRODUCTION two years in a row), Rogue Machine's first offering (which opened on May 18th) for the 2013 season has sold out the original run. They will now be extending the schedule for the Los Angeles premiere of Dying Cityby Christopher Shinn (OBIE winner, Pulitzer Prize finalist) through August 5th.

Arion Productions, in association with Neil McPherson for the Finborough Theatre, presents the first London production in more than 25 years of AS IS by William M. Hoffman. Directed by Andrew Keates, the cast features: Jordon Bernarde, Tom Colley, John Hastings, Tom Kay, Clare Kissane, David Poynor, Paul Standell and Anna Tierney.

Jagged Fence in association with Neil McPherson for the Finborough Theatre will present DUSA, FISH, STAS AND V by Pam Gems, and directed by Helen Eastman, beginning today, 9 July - Saturday, 3 August 2013.
