A new production of Bizet's LES PÊCHEURS DE PERLES (The Pearl Fishers), a rarity by the composer of Carmen that has not been seen at the Met in nearly a century, opens in a new production this New Year's Eve.

Today, Monday 21 December 2015, the Producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are delighted to announce that Jamie Parker, Noma Dumezweni and Paul Thornley will lead the cast as Harry, Hermione and Ron, which we previously announced here.

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) has announced the cast and creative team for its first main stage play of the 2016 season, Isaac's Eye by Lucas Hnath. Featuring actors Michael Linden, Greg Holt, Patrick Bynane, and Ashlee Elizabeth Bashore, the play will run Thursday, February 11 through Sunday, March 6 at the Berlene T. and Jarrell R. Milburn Theatre at Amphibian Stage Productions.

Three finalists have been announced for the second annual Lysicrates Prize, produced by Griffin Theatre Company and inspired by the restoration of the Lysicrates Monument on the band lawn of The Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney, which celebrates its 200th Birthday in 2016. Scroll down for photos!

59E59 Theaters will welcome the St. Louis Actors' Studio?with the NYC premiere of their acclaimed LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL, an evening of one-act plays featuring new plays by Neil LaBute, Lexi Wolfe, Peter Grandbois & Nancy Bell, G.D. Kimble, JJ Strong, and John Doble. Directed by Milton Zoth and John Pierson, the LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL begins performances on Wednesday, January 13 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 7.  Press opening is Sunday, January 17 at 7:30 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM & 7:30 PM. SANCHO: AN ACT OF REMEMBRANCE, conceived, written, and performed by Paterson Joseph and co-directed by Simon Godwin, will make its New York premiere at BAM Fisher (Fishman Space, 321 Ashland Pl) this weekend, Dec 16-19 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec 20 at 3 p.m.

Jessica Brown Findlay (Sonya), Vanessa Kirby (Elena), Richard Lumsden (Telegin), Hilton McRae (Serebryakov), Tobias Menzies (Astrov) and Ann Queensberry (Nanny) join the previously announced Paul Rhys (Vanya) in Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, a new version created by and directed by Associate Director, Robert Icke, at the Almeida Theatre. Running from 5 February until 26 March 2016, with press night on 12 February, Uncle Vanya is Icke's next production following the critically acclaimed Oresteia, which ran at the Almeida Theatre, transferred to the West End, and recently won him the Evening Standard Award for Best Director.

Actor's Express presents THRESHOLD, a new festival of new play readings this weekend, December 5-6, 2016. This year's festival focuses on works by local playwrights.

Following a sell out run at the Royal Court Theatre, Matthew Dunster's award-winning production of Martin McDonagh's HANGMEN will transfer to the West End for a strictly limited season. Internationally acclaimed actor Matthew Perry (Friends, The Odd Couple) leads the cast in the World Premiere of his playwriting debut, The End of Longing, at the Playhouse Theatre, London, from 2 February - 14 May 2016. This fast paced, and bittersweet comic new play, will be directed by the critically acclaimed and award-winning director, Lindsay Posner (Speed-the-Plow, Other Desert Cities) reuniting the pair, following their first West End collaboration on Sexual Perversity in Chicago at the Comedy Theatre in 2003.

Jessika Malone directs Actors Bridge Ensemble's 20th Anniversary Season's upcoming production of Jennifer Haley's The Nether, opening December 4 at the new Actors Bridge Studio at the Darkhorse Chapel, 4610 Charlotte Avenue (entrance on 47th Avenue).

SANCHO: AN ACT OF REMEMBRANCE, conceived, written, and performed by Paterson Joseph and co-directed by Simon Godwin, will make its New York premiere at BAM Fisher this December.

The world premiere of a new North Korean story from award-winning playwright In-Sook Chappell, P'yongyang opens at the Finborough Theatre for a four week limited season on Tuesday, 5 January 2016 (Press Nights: Thursday, 7 January and Friday, 8 January 2016 at 7.30pm).

New Artistic Director of Theatr Clywd Tamara Harvey today announces her inaugural theatre season for the company.

HANGMEN, which recently finished its run at the Royal Court Theatre's Jerwood Theatre Downstairs, transfers to the West End's Wyndham's Theatre tonight 1 December 2015. David Morrissey, in the lead role of 'Harry', will travel with the production.
