Patti LuPone, Sutton Foster, Betty Buckley and More to Appear on Seth Rudetsky's Broadway Concert Series in New Orleans, Beginning 1/7

Five of the entertainment world's leading ladies will perform in New Orleans in 2013 as Seth Rudetsky's popular Broadway Concert Series makes the leap to NOCCA's Lupin Hall from its summer home at The Art House in Provincetown, MA. Patti LuPone, two-time Tony winner for Gypsy and as the legendary original Evita, will appear for two shows only on January 7th at 6:30 and 8:30. Sutton Foster, two-time Tony-winner for this year's Anything Goes and previously for Thoroughly Modern Millie and star of the ABC Family series Bunheads arrives for one show only on March 2nd at 7:30. Megan Mullally, two-time Emmy-winning star of TV's Will and Grace and star of Broadway's Young Frankenstein performs two shows only on April 6th at 7:30 and 9:30. Audra McDonald, a five-time Tony Award winner and recent star of Porgy and Bess on Broadway and TV's Private Practice will make her New Orleans debut with two shows only on May 18 at 7:30 and 9:30. Betty Buckley, the Tony winning legendary star of Cats and Sunset Boulevard will close the series on June 1 with two shows only at 7:30 and 9:30. The visiting Broadway artists will also be giving master classes for the NOCCA Institute's high school-aged musical theatre students. All five concerts are produced by Mark Cortale, long time producer/manager of Jeffery Roberson aka Varla Jean Merman, and will be hosted by Sirius/XM radio star Seth Rudetsky at the piano. The Charing Cross Theatre will present the British premiere of Jerry Herman's musical DEAR WORLD, starring Betty Buckley and Paul Nicholas and directed and choreographed by Gillian Lynne, from 4 February - 30 March 2013, with a press night on Wednesday 13 February.

El Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires y la Fundación Cinemateca Argentina han organizado un ciclo denominado Detrás de la cortina de hierro (II), que se llevará a cabo del lunes 5 al domingo 11 de noviembre. Será la segunda parte de una retrospectiva dedicada a revisar lo mejor de la producción de Europa del Este antes de la caída del Muro de Berlín, cuando muchas de estas cinematografías padecían (y sorteaban) la censura de Estado, pero todavía no habían caído en la censura de mercado, que es la que luego desdibujó la identidad de muchos de estos cines nacionales.

SHOWTIME has acquired the U.S. television premiere of the critically-acclaimed documentary Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out, slated to air in 2013. The documentary will examine the controversial and celebrated filmmaker by recounting his contentious arrest in 2009 at the Zurich Film Festival, which developed into a 10-month imprisonment. Emmy winning director Marina Zenovich, who also serves as narrator, explores the bizarre clash of politics, celebrity justice and the media as she sheds new light on the infamous saga of Polanski's sexual abuse case and his escape from Swiss house arrest.

The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the return of Tony Award-winning singer and actress Betty Buckley from tonight, October 30 to November 4. This special one-week engagement marks the Bay Area debut of her show 'Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway,' based on her new CD. Buckley will perform men's songs from Broadway shows that she has always wanted to sing, including numbers from Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Pippin, Mame and La Cage Aux Folles.
