Five of the entertainment world's leading ladies will perform in New Orleans in 2013 as Seth Rudetsky's popular Broadway Concert Series makes the leap to NOCCA's Lupin Hall from its summer home at The Art House in Provincetown, MA. Patti LuPone, two-time Tony winner for Gypsy and as the legendary original Evita, will appear for two shows only on January 7th at 6:30 and 8:30. Sutton Foster, two-time Tony-winner for this year's Anything Goes and previously for Thoroughly Modern Millie and star of the ABC Family series Bunheads arrives for one show only on March 2nd at 7:30. Megan Mullally, two-time Emmy-winning star of TV's Will and Grace and star of Broadway's Young Frankenstein performs two shows only on April 6th at 7:30 and 9:30. Audra McDonald, a five-time Tony Award winner and recent star of Porgy and Bess on Broadway and TV's Private Practice will make her New Orleans debut with two shows only on May 18 at 7:30 and 9:30. Betty Buckley, the Tony winning legendary star of Cats and Sunset Boulevard will close the series on June 1 with two shows only at 7:30 and 9:30. The visiting Broadway artists will also be giving master classes for the NOCCA Institute's high school-aged musical theatre students. All five concerts are produced by Mark Cortale, long time producer/manager of Jeffery Roberson aka Varla Jean Merman, and will be hosted by Sirius/XM radio star Seth Rudetsky at the piano. The Charing Cross Theatre will present the British premiere of Jerry Herman's musical DEAR WORLD, starring Betty Buckley and Paul Nicholas and directed and choreographed by Gillian Lynne, from 4 February - 30 March 2013, with a press night on Wednesday 13 February.

SHOWTIME has acquired the U.S. television premiere of the critically-acclaimed documentary Roman Polanski: Odd Man Out, slated to air in 2013. The documentary will examine the controversial and celebrated filmmaker by recounting his contentious arrest in 2009 at the Zurich Film Festival, which developed into a 10-month imprisonment. Emmy winning director Marina Zenovich, who also serves as narrator, explores the bizarre clash of politics, celebrity justice and the media as she sheds new light on the infamous saga of Polanski's sexual abuse case and his escape from Swiss house arrest.

The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the return of Tony Award-winning singer and actress Betty Buckley from tonight, October 30 to November 4. This special one-week engagement marks the Bay Area debut of her show 'Ah Men! The Boys of Broadway,' based on her new CD. Buckley will perform men's songs from Broadway shows that she has always wanted to sing, including numbers from Sweeney Todd, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, On A Clear Day You Can See Forever, Pippin, Mame and La Cage Aux Folles. According to The New York Times, "Ms. Buckley's show is a witty, powerfully sung female occupation of male territory, waged with good humor and gusto." Ms. Buckley is a 2012 Inductee into the Theatre Hall of Fame.

Moving Picture Institute and Rainstorm Entertainment announce that director/producer Christian Johnston ("September Tapes", "True Life Trial by Fire", "Three Hikers") and director/producer Darren Mann's ("FightF*ckPray" , Holiday in Rwanda", "Becoming Barack") documentary STATE OF CONTROL will have a "sneak peek" screening at the 15th United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF) at Stanford University today, October 28th at the Annenberg Auditorium at 3:45pm.

Atria Books today announced a deal for a memoir by Samantha Geimer, who in 1977 at the age of 13, was ?the girl? at the center of the infamous Roman Polanski sexual assault case. Now 47, Geimer will finally tell her own story and reflect on the events of that day and their lifelong repercussions. THE GIRL: Emerging from the Shadow of Roman Polanski, to be published in fall 2013, will be a powerful and deeply moving memoir in which Geimer reclaims her identity as a flesh and blood person whose life was irrevocably altered by her involvement in one of the most notorious and complex stories of all time. Breaking a virtual 35 year silence, the memoir will give readers insight into many dimensions of the story that have never previously been revealed.

Royal & Derngate presents its next Made in Northampton production, Yasmina Reza's God of Carnage. A riotous comedy of frayed nerves and bloated egos and one of the most successful plays of recent years, the show runs from 19 October to 10 November.

According to Deadline.com, Roman Polanski will bring David Ives' Venus in Fur to the big screen- in French. Emmanuelle Seigner and Louis Garrel are set to star in the roles played by Nina Arianda and Hugh Dancy on Broadway last season.
