The winners of this year's Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival (WCAF) Open competitions have been announced at a packed event to mark the launch.

At a press conference held May 30 in the lobby of the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 235 nominations for the 38th Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards, which recognize excellence in the performing arts in Toronto.

The Festival will also usher in the fifth year of Fort Worth Opera's critically-acclaimed new works showcase, Frontiers.

Following a sold-out run of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro in June 2015, Wolf Trap Opera continues the Figaro storyline with the Washington, D.C. premiere of acclaimed composer John Corigliano and librettist William M. Hoffman's contemporary opera The Ghosts of Versailles. The new production plays for four performances, July 10, 12, 15 and 18, at The Barns at Wolf Trap.
