This winter, The Joffrey Ballet revisits its contemporary roots with a mixed repertory program titled "Contemporary Choreographers," an evening of three pieces, two by some of contemporary ballet's most luminous choreographers working today and one by a local "rising star" choreographer. "Contemporary Choreographers" is presented in 10 performances only at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Congress Parkway, February 12-23.

Lawrence made his film debut in 'Easy Money' opposite Rodney Dangerfield. Returning to the Skirball Performing Arts Center, Joffrey Ballet School will perform five performances of the holiday favorite with three casts, today, December 13 - 15, 2013. In addition to delighting in the timeless tale of The Nutcracker, audiences will also enjoy its rich legacy of culture, with dances inspired by Spain, Arabia, China and Russia.

In celebration of its 60th year anniversary, Joffrey Ballet School will invite dancers to try out in more than 60 cities across the U.S. as well as multiple international locations. The school has year-round programs in New York City and also produces the world's largest summer training program with locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Miami, Georgia, Florence Italy, and in Russia with the Bolshoi Ballet. A new location in Denver will join the 2014 summer offerings.

Less than a month after its special 'Russian Masters' program, The Joffrey Ballet transports Chicago audiences to India with the Chicago Premiere of La Bayadere: The Temple Dancer, choreographed by Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch. La Bayadere is presented over 10 performances with orchestral accompaniment by The Chicago Philharmonic conducted by Joffrey Music Director Scott Speck, at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E.
