Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized as a vital “American Cultural Ambassador” to the world and New York City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns to the New York City Center stage for the 45th consecutive year from December 2, 2015 – January 3, 2016.  Led by Robert Battle in his fifth season, Ailey's renowned artists will bring to life an expansive repertory of two dozen works by some of America's most celebrated dance-makers during this exciting annual season, which has become a joyous holiday tradition.  The performances will feature three new productions of Ailey Classics, a Company premiere by Paul Taylor, and world premieres by Kyle Abraham, Ronald K. Brown and Robert Battle – his first since becoming Artistic Director.

This picture book biography features images brimming with vibrant color and swirling motion, and is illustrated and written by award-winning husband-and-wife team James E. Ransome  and Lesa Cline-Ransome. Created for ages 5 - 10, the book will be released on October 27th by Paula Wiseman Books, a division of Simon & Schuster Children's Publishing, just in time for holiday gift-giving.

New Voices In Dance will present an evening of new and innovative dance tongiht, June 18th at 8:00PM at The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Theater at 142 West 46th Street.  This evening brings together three distinct and unique dance voices into one program.

New York) June 15, 2015 – Ailey celebrates NYC Dance Week, a citywide festival from June 18 – 27 that promotes the joy and diversity of dance, with FREE class offers at The Ailey Extension and performances by Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at Lincoln Center, through June 21.

Led by Artistic Director Robert Battle, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's 2015 Lincoln Center engagement kicked off with a star-studded Ailey Spirit Gala on Wednesday, June 10th. The one-night-only benefit performance and party honoring the Ford Foundation and sponsored by FedEx featured supermodel and actor Tyson Beckford as Honorary Chair. Gala Co-Chairs were Gina F. Adams, Ricki Lander, Almaz & Marc S. Strachan, Pamela Zilly & John Schaefer and Daria L. & Eric J. Wallach, and the Vice Chairs were Michele & Timothy Barakett, Dr. N. Anthony & Robyn Coles, and Leslie & Tom Maheras. The evening helped raise over $1 million for Ailey's extensive educational programs for young people, including AileyCamp and scholarships to The Ailey School.

Nearly two weeks after famed dancer Dudley Williams' passing, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater took to the stage at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for a fitting tribute. Though the program was already set, the sudden passing led to the addition of "A Song for You" from Love Songs and added new meaning to the rest of the evening's performances, especially for Rennie Harris' world premiere.
