Now in its 8th smash year, NEWSical The Musical, the 2011 winner of the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Musical, is excited to welcome original cast member Christine Pedi back to the production. NEWSical is New York's ever-evolving musical mockery of all the news that's fit to spoof. Tackling stories ranging from the lowest depths of reality television to the highest office in the land nothing and no one in the news is safe! With Pedi's spot on impressions audiences can expect to see her take on Oprah's Presidential run as well as current White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The current company features Scott Foster (Broadway's Brooklyn) Susan Mosher (Hairspray) and Michael West (When Pigs Fly).

The talented and vivacious, Rick Skye, has drummed up tremendous praise and accolades -- most recently, the 2017 Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) Award -- from his performances both in the United States and abroad. Performing as the iconic Liza Minelli, Skye has starred in many hit shows, such as Barbra and Liza LIVE!; A Slice O' Minnelli; as well as toured with Liza LIVE! throughout England. He has also written and performed in the Flip Side of Neil Sedaka, which earned him a Bistro Award. His most recent success was Judy and Liza Together Again which closed after an incredible seven-year run at Don't Tell Mama and earned him two MAC Awards.

Having recently added a 2016 Bistro Award for “Commanding Cabaret Artistry” to her list of accolades (including a Tony nomination and Theater World Award for her 1989 Broadway debut in Starmites), Sharon McNight belted and growled her way through Songs to Offend Almost Everyone at the second of her two shows at the Duplex (March 10). If Mae West and George Carlin had by some miracle produced a daughter and Elaine Stritch was the child's nanny, she would have grown up sounding like McNight.
