Broadway cast members will perform at a benefit for the children of PS 166 - The Richard Rodgers School - on Monday, February 7th, at 7pm in the school's auditorium.

Virginia's Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre has announced the artistic team behind the upcoming world premiere of the musical comedy And the Curtain Rises (formerly known as Wheatley's Folly), which begins performances on Thursday, March 17, 2011. And the Curtain Rises marks the third production presented as part of Signature's groundbreaking American Musical Voices Project, the largest commissioning program for new musicals in the country, following Michael John LaChiusa's Giant in 2009 and Ricky Ian Gordon's Sycamore Trees last year.

Merkin Concert Hall's Broadway Playhouse series continues to introduce New York's next generation of musical theater fans ages 4-11 to some of the greatest Broadway musicals of all time. The 2011 series kicked off with a sold-out celebration of Rodgers & Hammerstein on Jan 9 and continues with Andrew Lloyd Webber on Feb 13. The composer of enduringly popular musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, Jesus Christ Superstar and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Lloyd Webber has won seven Tonys, three Grammys, seven Oliviers, a Golden Globe, an Oscar, two International Emmys and the Richard Rodgers Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre. The 2011 series concludes with Tom Jones & Harvey Schmidt (The Fantasticks) on March 6.

New York's Cafe Carlyle comes to life in San Francisco when Bay Area Cabaret presents the winners of New York's coveted Nightlife Award, jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli and his wife, Broadway star Jessica Molaskey (Tommy, Sunday in the Park with George).

After sweeping the 2008 Tony Awards and enchanting audiences throughout the country, the Lincoln Center Theater Production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC - featuring the largest orchestra of any Broadway production currently on tour - will land at Prudential Hall in the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) for an eight performance run starting Wednesday, January 26, 2011.

Lincoln Center's acclaimed series American Songbook, which explores the best of the golden age of musical standards through to today's most dynamic songwriting, will bring to the stage some of today's most gifted interpreters of song. Week Two starts on January 26th with a tribute to arguably the greatest songwriting team in American Songbook history: the brothers George and Ira Gershwin. Conductor, arranger and pianist (as well as Artistic Director of the Gershwin centenary) Rob Fisher will lead Victoria Clark (Tony winner for Light in the Piazza) and Norm Lewis (Les Miserables, The Little Mermaid) in a night of gorgeous Gershwin. On January 27th singer/songwriter Shara Worden (from the group My Brightest Diamond) performs her unique blend of vocal music that has her pegged as a star to watch. Jason Robert Brown's intimate musical "The Last Five Years" is at The Media Theatre February 9-27. The one act show tells the story of an aspiring actress who meets and falls in love with a novelist. At The Media Theatre, Jennie Eisenhower portrays Cathy, the aspiring actress. Wallingford's Marcus Stevens takes on the role of the novelist, Jamie.
