PLYMOUTH NOTCH, Vt., Nov. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ The board of the Calvin Coolidge Memorial Foundation, the Presidential Foundation honoring and representing the thirtieth President of the United States, announced today the finalists for the first annual Coolidge Prize for Journalism. According to guardian.co.uk, Tricycle theatre chief Nicolas Kent, one of the UK's longest serving and most respected artistic directors, is stepping down from the theatre he has run for 27 years as a direct result of arts cuts.

Nicolas Kent directs the world premiere of Tactical Questioning: Scenes from the Baha Mousa Inquiry, edited by Richard Norton-Taylor. The production, which examines the British Army's handling of detainees in Iraq and the death of Baha Mousa in 2003, will run at the Tricycle Theatre from 2 June until 2 July, with press night on 6 June 2011. Designs are by Polly Sullivan, with lighting by Charlie Hayday and sound and projections by Ed Borgnis.

Arena Stage to Produce RUINED In-the-Round, 4/22-6/5

Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater will produce the first in-the-round staging of Ruined, the 2009 Pulitzer Prize winner for drama by Arena Stage Project Resident Lynn Nottage and directed by Resident Playwright Charles Randolph-Wright (Director of Arena Stage's Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies). Ruined is the stirring tale of Mama Nadi, a mother figure loosely based on Bertolt Brecht's Mother Courage and Her Children, who provides refuge for women affected by civil war ravaging the Democratic Republic of Congo. The production features an expanded company with cast members playing live music and additional ensemble roles featuring University of Maryland students. Ruined runs April 22-June 5, 2011 in the Fichandler Stage.

Antony Sher will lead the cast in Arthur Miller's Broken Glass, directed at the Tricycle Theatre by Iqbal Khan.
