Ain't Misbehavin', the Fats Waller revue that pays a rousing homage to a bygone musical era of the Harlem Renaissance, will kick off a season of musical productions at Crossroads Theatre Company this fall.

Last night, June 27, the off-broadway theater scene became a bit richer with the advent of The Magdalene, a musical play about Mary Magdalene composed by James Olm with a book by Mr. Olm and J.C. Hanley. Tony Award winner Richard Maltby, Jr. served as the Creative Consultant on the production, which was directed by Richard Burk. Previews began on June 14. The Kleban Foundation is pleased to announce that the 21st Annual Kleban Prize for the most promising musical theatre lyricist has gone to Adam Gwon and the award for the most promising musical theatre librettist has gone to Michelle Elliott. Nevertheless: "Ain't it swell doin' swell with the swells in the swellest hotel of them all? One of the strengths of the show is that it doesn't whitewash (if I may use that word here) this part of Waller's legacy.
