GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau will launch a new global marketing and advertising campaign on January 9 th featuring three transgender models, and will become the world's first destination to use transgender models in mainstream destination advertising. Greater Fort Lauderdale's campaign, which also features straight, gay and lesbian models, follows the destination's long and storied history in LGBTQ marketing and is directed at a largely millennial and younger mind-set audience to showcase the destination's image as an authentic, diverse and inclusive brand.

Murder for Two, the latest collaboration between The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, is drop-dead funny. The production, with book by Joe Kinosian and Kellen Blair, music by Kinosian and lyrics by Blair, makes its Northwest Premiere March 25 - June 11, 2017, directed by Daniel Knechtges. 

Some of Seattle's most talented actors will be hard at work in collaboration with writers from around the country in the rehearsal halls of The 5th Avenue Theatre this month as the company's NextFest: A Festival of New Musicals launches its three week intensive development cycle this weekend.

Only the incredible Stephen Sondheim could make a musical about Presidential assassins and make it work. It's a dark subject that you think wouldn't be sung about. But Sondheim shows off his storytelling prowess by creating a sort of club or group therapy aspect to the group of killers as they attempt to tie all their works together with the act of their most famous member. And while the cast of the current joint production from the 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT certainly has the talent to pull off this demanding show, they don't always feel cohesive or in the same club but hopefully as they settle in that will come.
