Benedict Cumberbatch-Led HAMLET Will Be Broadcast in US Cinemas Through NT Live This Fall!

Fathom Events, in partnership with National Theatre Live and BY Experience, are pleased to present 'NT Live: Hamlet' on October 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. local time. Academy Award nominee Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) takes on the title role of William Shakespeare's great tragedy directed by Lyndsey Turner and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions. Captured live earlier the same day, the event will be broadcast from London's Barbican Theatre to select U.S. cinemas.

Pauline McLynn (Father Ted, Shameless, EastEnders) will play Ella Khan in Ayub Khan Din's critically-acclaimed play East is East, embarking on a 16 week national tour and making its Scottish debut at the Theatre Royal Glasgow from Monday 10 until Saturday 15 August 2015.

Pauline McLynn (Father Ted, Shameless, EastEnders) will play Ella Khan in Ayub Khan Din's critically-acclaimed play East is East, which was part of Jamie Lloyd's second Trafalgar Transformed season, directed by Sam Yates, on a 16 week National Tour from 11 June 2015, commencing at Theatre Royal, Brighton. East is East is designed by Tom Scutt, with lighting by Richard Howell and sound and music by Alex Baranowski.

This co-world premiere with Sydney Theatre Company will be directed by Mark Brokaw (Broadway: Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella, The Lyons) in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse now through April 19, 2015. Opening night is tonight, March 13.

Atlantic Theater Company presents the world premiere of Posterity, written and directed by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Doug Wright and featuring Hamish Linklater, John Noble, Dale Soules, Henry Stram and Mickey Theis. Posterity is currently in previews and will officially open Sunday, March 15, 2015 for a limited engagement through Sunday, April 5 Off Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company at The Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street).
Norway's most celebrated sculptor (Linklater) is commissioned to create the last official portrait of the country's most famous writer, but Henrik Ibsen (Noble) proves to be an irascible, contentious sitter, as the two men wage war over both his legacy and his likeness. With his inimitable wit and insight, Doug Wright explores the nature of artistic success and the fear of being forgotten.
