The Vagabond Players Announce Their 95th Season Lineup

The Vagabond Players, America's Oldest Little Theatre, announced the lineup for its 95th season. The shows are certainly not to miss and the theatre is one rich with history. Some of the shows include Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Death of a Salesman, and Six Degrees of Separation.

David Hirson was born in New York City and was educated at Yale and Oxford. He is the author of two plays for the theatre, La Bête (1991) and Wrong Mountain (2000), both of which have been produced on Broadway. He has received numerous honours for his work, including the 1992 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy. The original Broadway production of La Bête was nominated for five Tony awards in 1991. A collected edition of his plays is published by Grove Press. He is currently working on a new version of Die Fledermaus for the Metropolitan Opera.
Lumley & Hyde Pierce to Team Up in LA BETE for West End & Bway Run

The Daily Mail is reporting that actor David Hyde Pierce will team up with British actress and comic Joanna Lumley for a revival of David Hirson's comedy drama 'La Bete'. Joining the duo will be Mark Rylance, currently starring in Jerusalem at the Apollo.

The Falcon Theatre presents Richard Alfieri's Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, the second production in its 2008-2009 'Bringin' the FUNNY' All-Comedy subscription season. Constance Towers, star of Broadway and the popular soap opera General Hospital, and Jason Graae, award-winning musical theater and TV actor, star in this revival of the Broadway and international hit play, directed again by Arthur Allan Seidelman and choreographed by Kay Cole.
