AMC's critically acclaimed Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning drama, "Mad Men," will return for its sixth season on Sunday, April 7 at 9:00 pm ET/PT with a special two-hour premiere written by creator and executive producer, Matthew Weiner and directed by executive producer, Scott Hornbacher. Following the premiere, on Sunday, April 14, "Mad Men" will return to its regular timeslot at 10pm ET/PT with an episode written by Jonathan Igla and Weiner, and directed by Jon Hamm.

This morning, The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 70th Annual Golden Globe(R) Awards. AMC's critically acclaimed, award-winning original dramas 'Breaking Bad,' and 'Mad Men' were honored with 3 nominations, the most in basic cable. Moreover, this marks the first time that 'Breaking Bad' has been recognized by the HFPA in the Drama category.

LIONSGATE's acclaimed AMC drama MAD MEN and hit Showtime comedy NURSE JACKIE earned a total of 22 Emmy(R) nominations today, including a fifth consecutive drama series nomination for MAD MEN, which made history last year with its fourth consecutive win tying the all-time Emmy(R) record in the category, and a third consecutive comedy nomination for four-time Emmy(R) winner Edie Falco, who won the Lead Actress trophy for her role in the first season of NURSE JACKIE.

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced this morning the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy(R) Award nominations, recognizing AMC with 34 nominations, the most for any basic cable network for the fifth year in a row, breaking the previous 29 nomination record for the network from 2011.

The original score is by Ian McDonald (King Crimson, Foreigner) and performed live by Mr. McDonald.
